May 24, 2021 to today. We've added the house, Ag buildings, gardens, and over 40 souls who depend on us daily. We've learned a lot of the "old ways" and are working to market it all while supporting our own family with as much farm fresh goodness as we can. It's been a hell of a journey, and we're not done yet 😉

Finished sauces! I only did 3 out of 4 to save my family from the hot pepper fumigation in the house lolol. I thought each batch would yield 16 ounces, but instead only yielded 10 ounces. Left to right are as follows: Mexi-bell, Cayenne/Jalapeño blend, and Jalapeño.

Now that the chili is made here at LHF, it is time to make some more hot sauce! Making 4 kinds today! A Mexi-bell pepper sauce, a jalapeño pepper sauce, a Cayenne pepper sauce, and a Jalapeño/Cayenne pepper blend sauce! Each will be about 16 ounces, so a grand total of a half gallon 😋🤯😋🤯😋🤯🥵🥵🥵🥵

Today's LHF batch of chili yielded 10 quarts!

Did you know...

It takes more than a standard washing to cut the oil from hot peppers? So, for example, when one makes hot pepper sauces, trusting the dishwasher after a warm water soak with a little Dawn soap won't do the job.

Sincerely,
The person whose throat was on fire and threw away her ruined cocoa wheats! 😅😅😅

Turd Bird Condo Palace build day 5. I had to replace tar paper and put wood strips down to be able to walk the pitch and fix it, as well as keep the wind from blowing off more paper again. Cut to size the center loft shelf and divider wall panel. Also finished installing the exterior walls and cut out the 2 doors for the Condos. Next is doors and trim, paint, then build windows.
