The Dresser: Date Night Edition 🍷

What’s a dresser? It’s the drink that sits on your dresser while you’re getting ready to go out. A little family tradition that’s become one of our favorite ways to kick off the night.

This week’s dresser was a bottle of Le Fruit du Hasard from Domaine du Possible, a French natural red we picked up at Buvons W**e , one of our favorite Long Beach w**e bars!

The occasion? Date night at HOMAREYA , a restaurant we’ve been wanting to try for a while and it did NOT disappoint!

Now the important question: What should we put on the dresser next?

Happy Hour at Tepechi Restaurant

Okay, this one BLEW US AWAY. This was one of those meals where we kept looking at each other like…how is everything this good?! 😂

Birria Tepechi is a family-owned Long Beach staple, known for their traditional Jalisco-style lamb birria and recipes rooted in their family’s history in Zacatecas.

For Latino Restaurant Week, they created a special happy hour menu with food and drink deals that made this the perfect excuse to finally check them out, and we’re so glad we did.

Latino Restaurant Week runs through October 11 and is all about getting out and supporting Latino-owned restaurants throughout Long Beach. There are so many great spots participating, so go show them some love this week!

And we may have heard this happy hour could stick around after Restaurant Week 👀 Nothing confirmed yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

We’re celebrating Latino Restaurant Week with a Belmont Shore favorite, Taco Shore Long Beach !

Their Golden Taco Award-winning fish taco lived up to the hype, but the carnitas taco was one of our favorites too. Pair that with a margarita or their michelada with the b**r topper, plus an incredibly friendly staff, and you’ve got a happy hour worth checking out.

First stop: Tremble Club at The Bamboo Club | Long Beach Tiki Bar & Restaurant 🌴💀

Bamboo Club went all out for Halloween. The place is decked out, there are themed events happening throughout October (like their spooky scary movie nights Mondays + Tuesdays), and of course, a full menu of Halloween cocktails.

The specialty cocktails are $17 with names like Freak on a Lychee, Blood Rave, The Thing + White Zombie.

Honestly, such a fun one for an October night out.

Japanese BBQ + happy hour all in one spot! Happy hour has b**r starting at $5, cocktails starting at $10, and bites starting at $5. We loved the pork belly bao buns and Nagoya wings!

Their all-you-can-eat BBQ is separate from happy hour, but definitely worth staying for. The yuzu butter shrimp was a favorite 🍤
