Broken Bridge started at a backyard party.
A bunch of friends. A couple of drinks. Good conversation.
At some point, I asked, “Why can’t we build a bourbon brand?”
It seemed like a good question at the time. Possibly because bourbon was involved.
The problem was, it still seemed like a good question the next morning.
We already had great friends, close families, and plenty of good times together. What I didn’t have was any idea how to start a bourbon company.
There was only one way to find out. I had to cross the bridge.
So naturally, I left my career in technology and started learning the business from the ground up.
Since the beginning of 2026, I’ve been exploring the industry. Meeting great people. Making mistakes, correcting them, and occasionally learning enough to make entirely new mistakes.
There’s still a way to go, but Broken Bridge is being built one relationship, one decision, and one lesson at a time.
All because I asked a question in a backyard and couldn’t let it go.
“Why can’t we?”
That question became Broken Bridge Bourbon.
