“Pardon me for what I said while working cattle!” Today, we had a really weird thing happen while working calves. A calf managed to flip itself head down, sideways, and rump in the air. It began to choke itself out because her throat was laying on the side bar. Will was trying to get her unstuck and when I got there she went limp. My sister, Shelly, got the calves legs unstuck while I got her head free. We got her laid out and weren’t getting any chest rise. Will gave her some compressions and she started coming around. My favorite quote from Will was “I am glad she came around before I had to give her mouth to mouth”! lol
