Beautiful art books and paintings from Brenda Bogart are now available at Laura’s Market and Flatt 55. ✨

A lovely addition to any coffee table, or a centerpiece of art to liven your space, these colorful creations feature a distinctive style and storytelling that showcase the truly exquisite mind of Brenda Bogart. 🤌

Brenda recently hosted a book signing here at Flatt 55, and her work is currently on exhibit at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts. She is a wonderful soul who deserves every bit of recognition for her endeavors, and it is our pleasure to help support her cause. 🤝

The 2024 Averæn Pinot Noir. Cool climate Oregon Pinot that overdelivers without the usual price tag. 🤝

Averæn was born from a love of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Fruit comes from vineyards across multiple sub-AVAs, including Chehalem Mountains, Eola-Amity Hills, and Ribbon Ridge, so the bottle tastes like the valley as a whole. They use 25 percent whole cluster, ferment in stainless and neutral foudre, then age for a year in French barrels with just a quarter new oak. 🌳

Deep in color, it opens with raspberry, ripe cherry, and a soft floral note. The palate is plush and enveloping with dark fruits, cassis, and a hint of cocoa, lifted by bright acidity and fine tannins. Luxurious yet energetic, and ready for roasted chicken, mushrooms, or a simple weeknight pour. 🍷

Flatt 55: W**e Cellar & Social Club was a buzz this past week! Such special experiences for me personally and I hope for those that were able to join us!
Isn’t it exciting that we haven’t even met all our favorite people yet! Mel Robbins said something like this and it really stuck with me. There is a total stranger out there that is going to touch your life in ways you don’t even know yet! So I gained two more favorite people and I’m sure for those that got to meet either or both of them you feel the exact same way.

Brenda Bogart spoke at the LMFA - Longview Museum of Fine Arts reminding us to listen to the whisper! Hers said, “you can paint that!” 🎨Alessia Travaglini’s of Travaglini Gattinara listened to her whisper that said “you can grow and make that”🍷 I’m sure glad By Grace Bakery listened to “you can bake that!”
I think our whisper for Flatt 55 was “you can love them, you can make sure when they walk in your doors they know they belong.” 🥂

What is your whisper? 🤔Go and do it! Make it, paint it, sing it, create it! There is a stranger out there waiting to meet you and thank you for listening to your whisper!

What a unique treat for our members to be introduced to Travaglini Gattinara w**es by the 5th generation Alessia Travaglini who traveled all the way from Gattinara, Italy to personally introduce us to their Nebbiolo. There just isn’t a better way to spend an evening than with great food, great w**e, and great company! These are the opportunities we work hard to bring to our members.

Most people know Sancerre as a white. This one is the red they are missing. The 2022 Jean-Marie Reverdy La Villaudière Sancerre Rouge.

From the family estate in Verdigny, Jean-Marie Reverdy works with his sons Guillaume and Baptiste on 40-year-old Pinot Noir vines. Half the fruit comes from clay-limestone Terres Blanches, half from stony Caillottes. The w**e ages in older barrels for about a year.

It opens with ripe strawberry, cherry, and cranberry, then a hint of roasted coffee and spice. Soft and silky on the palate, with crisp acidity and a light, elegant finish that stays fresh.
