A laid back trip to the San Juan Islands in Washington with great seafood, farm fresh food, hikes and beach combing. By far the best food was “Ursa Minor” on Lopez Island. Sautéd summer squash with pumpkin miso foam, potato gnocchi with chanterelles and delicious broth! Fresh island strawberries with panna cota and crisp honey comb gave it a nice crunch! The flavor profiles were so complex I couldn’t begin to guess ingredients nor replicate. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star.
A shout out to Sunnyfield farm for their drinkable yogurt and the creamiest goat cheese I’ve ever had.
