⏳ Let’s talk Añejo ⌛

When we set out to craft our Añejo, we faced a choice: fast track the oak flavor with brand new barrels, or give it 18 full months in thoroughly seasoned, multi-use barrels. 🕰️

We chose patience. 🧘‍♂️

Fresh barrels hit you with aggressive wood right out of the gate. Well used barrels, on the other hand, let the tequila breathe and evolve naturally over time.

The result? Deep notes of vanilla and caramel, all while keeping the sweet agave front and center. ⭐

We just cracked open freshly dumped bourbon barrels, if you could smell this room right now, your mind would be blown... 🤯

Because bourbon distillers can only use charred oak once, we get to score these flavor soaked casks and give them a second life at Lost Lore. ♻️

The charred interior naturally softens the spirit, filtering out sulfur and locking in killer notes of vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch. Thanks to Mexico’s heat, aging moves 4x faster than wh***ey, turning out rich flavor Reposados and complex Añejos while keeping that sweet, cooked agave the star of the show. ⭐
