EDGE Sound Research Research Studio dedicated to advancing how we interact with recorded signals

A look back at After the Tide at Small Green Door during LA Design Weekend.

For this exhibition, we brought Embodied Sound into the gallery itself, integrating into the podiums, walls, and interactive water feature. A single musical score moved throughout the space in sync with the installation, creating a multisensory experience where sound could be heard, felt, and seen as part of the artwork.

It was exciting to see how sound could become another material within the exhibition, complementing the interplay of form, light, water, and texture. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this experience to life!

We are happy to announce that we are providing audio powered by Embodied Sound and curated by our team at EDGE Sound Research for "After the Tide". The space itself becomes the audio source, including a mutlisensory installation that turns audio into something that you can hear, feel, and see.

"This body of work is a collection of glimmers in the sand. Each piece takes on courageous exploration by bending material, form, and creative languages against the forces of nature. They reveal the gentle memory of what was, and the persistence of vision. The artwork is crafted through friction and ever changing conditions."

Kel from Give Hope Studios™️ and Studio Sessions explains how Embodied Sound can be paired with existing sound and PA systems to create an entirely new level of listening experiences for audiences in a live music environment.

You can experience this iteration of Embodied Sound technology at Give Hope Studios during their Studio Sessions (Studio Sessions) for free in Los Angeles.

In our last retrospective piece with Geometry of Sound, we talk with Kawehi 👑🌴🌺 and Gregg Fleishman at SKY PORTAL X - GALLERY about how the architectural geometry and sound coming together brings a uniquely new experience for audiences to hear and feel music.

In our retrospective with Gregg Fleishman and Kawehi 👑🌴🌺, we go over the audience's reactions to experiencing Embodied Sound at Lightning in a Bottle, and how the team evolved to making Recovery Mode, a larger scale event where geometry and sound meet in larger installations by Gregg at SKY PORTAL X - GALLERY in Los Angeles.

"You really need to feel it to understand it"

We invited Kawehi 👑🌴🌺 and eunice w. to experience a meditative and wellness demo from our Embodied Sound enabled demo center in Los Angeles. Studies have shown that sound may play a key role in healing and recovery, and thus may bring audiences closer to meditation and relaxation by using Embodied Sound to put users right inside the audio experience.

"Experiencing that brought me a little bit closer to exactly what I was watching."

In our retrospective with Kel of Give Hope Studios™️, we played a Formula 1 demo that let's viewers experience the intensity of the race right from an Embodied Sound enabled room, and how our technology put him right into the experience in a way that felt more immersive than ever before.

We have been collaborating with Kel and his team from Give Hope Studios™️ for their intimate concert series Studio Sessions. Working together we have enhanced the audience experience of live entertainment by installing our Embodied Sound technology directly into the seating area.

Guests and participants are able to directly feel the strumming of the guitar, the notes from the keyboard, the voice from the singer; creating a uniquely immersive and intimate experience where the audience truly feels like they are part of the music that the artist intended for their listeners to feel.

We begin this retrospective series with Kel's first impressions of trying out our Embodied Sound demo space in Los Angeles, months before we officially installed the technology in their studio. "There's very few things in life where my jaw just drops. And that's what happened."
