**Very Very Old Fitzgerald 12 Year (Fall 1965)**
This rare gem was distilled in 1952 and bottled in the fall of 1965—coinciding with the year Pappy Van Winkle passed away. Aged 12 years and bottled at 100 proof under the Bottled-in-Bond Act, this release came in an ornate display box and marked one of the most premium expressions from the legendary Stitzel-Weller Distillery.
Stitzel-Weller, founded by Pappy himself in 1935, helped define the soft, wheated bourbon style that later powered brands like Old Fitzgerald and eventually Pappy Van Winkle. Bottles like this aren’t just whiskey—they’re time capsules of American bourbon history.
