🔥 STOP cooking your chicken wings to 165°F!
Yes, 165°F is safe, but if you want tender, juicy wings with crispy skin, try taking them to 175–185°F instead.
These grilled chicken wings are perfect for GAME DAY 🏈 and I’m making two batches on my Pro Series 3-in-1 grill.
One with Perfect Chicken and the other with their Smokehouse seasoning. SO good!
FULL RECIPE ⬇️
🍗 INGREDIENTS
* 3 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
* Dale’s Perfect Chicken Seasoning
* Dale’s Smokehouse Seasoning
* 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for coating)
🔥 INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the grill to 375–400°F. Set up a cooler, indirect-heat zone if possible.
2. Prep the wings: Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This helps the skin crisp up.
3. Season: Divide the wings into two batches. Coat one batch with Dale’s Perfect Chicken and the other with Dale’s Smokehouse, following the package directions. If using dry seasonings, add a little olive oil to help them stick.
4. Grill: Place the wings on the grill, preferably over indirect heat. Close the lid and cook for approximately 25–35 minutes, flipping occasionally.
5. Check the temperature: Chicken is safe at 165°F, but I prefer wings cooked to 175–185°F for more tender meat. Move them over direct heat briefly at the end if the skin needs extra crisping.
6. Serve: Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce!
💡 GAME DAY TIP: Keep the grill lid closed as much as possible. Consistent heat helps the wings cook evenly without drying out.
Two seasonings. One grill. A whole lot of flavor.
