MY MIRACLE BROTH 💛✨

A lot of you know me and followed me because of this very special plant-based anti-inflammatory broth. So I wanted to do a post on all its healing benefits this breast cancer awareness month! In the hopes it helps one of you too… 🙏🏻

During chemotherapy, there were days when I could barely stomach anything. My appetite disappeared, my body was exhausted, and even the thought of food could make me feel nauseous.

But there was one thing I could almost always manage. My homemade Miracle Broth. 🥹

I started making this plant-based mineral broth during my breast cancer treatment, filling a huge pot with organic vegetables, roots, herbs, mushrooms and sea vegetables, all chosen for their wonderful nutritional properties.

Rich in ingredients containing antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, vitamins and minerals, it became my little daily ritual of nourishment when my body needed it most.

On the days when I couldn’t eat much else, knowing I was at least staying hydrated and getting some beneficial nutrients from this beautiful combination of ingredients brought me so much comfort.

I have always believed in the importance of nourishing our bodies as best we can, particularly when they’re going through something as physically demanding as chemotherapy.

Five years cancer-free, and this is still one of the most meaningful recipes to me. 🥹🤍

Swipe through to discover the beautiful ingredients and their nutritional benefits, and save this recipe for the next time you need a little extra nourishment.

Full recipe is coming later this week to my Substack as well as a full recipe reel showing how to make it & all the things you can use it for!

Sending so much love to anyone currently going through treatment. I remember those days so vividly, and I’m rooting for you. Always. 🎀🫶🏻

October 1st felt like the perfect excuse to officially welcome cozy season 🍂🤎

I was so excited to be asked to chef for the beautiful Camille Styles for an evening celebrating the Casa Zuma x häti home Beach House Collection — and naturally, I took the opportunity to make the menu feel like autumn had arrived at the table.

Seasonal produce, cozy fall flavors, lots of herbs, beautiful textures and food made for lingering around the table a little longer. My favourite kind of evening. 🕯️✨

And the star of the night? My creamy honeynut squash pasta, which had everyone quite literally drooling over it 😂🍝

Honeynut squash is finally back in season, so it felt only right to make this one my Recipe of the Week on Substack. Creamy, silky, slightly sweet, full of gorgeous seasonal ingredients and basically October in a bowl.

The full recipe is waiting for you on Substack now 🤎🍁

Comment PASTA and I’ll send it straight to your DMs! ✨

A scoop with a little extra love this October 💗🍦

I’m so excited to have partnered with Big Love in Santa Monica to create a very special flavour for Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Raspberry Chip 🩷

Made with fresh raspberries, creamy coconut, vanilla and dates, with chocolate swirls made from cacao, coconut oil and dates. Plant-based, made with beautifully simple ingredients, and — most importantly — SO delicious. 🍓🍫

And this one means a little more to me than your average pint.

Throughout the entire month of October, 10% of sales from every Raspberry Chip scoops and pints will be donated to the The American Cancer Society, supporting my Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraising efforts. 🎀 Making Strides

As a five-year breast cancer survivor, finding ways to turn my own experience into something that can help the women coming after me is incredibly important to me. And if we can do that while eating ice cream… even better. 🥹🩷

You can grab a scoop (or a pint… highly recommend 😂) at Big Love in Santa Monica all month long.

And on October 24th, I’ll be walking in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Santa Monica. You can join my team and walk alongside me, or donate to support our team, through the link in my bio or obviously going down to Big Love Ice Cream • Santa Monica and grabbing a pint! 🎀

Come eat ice cream. Come walk with me. Help us raise some money. And together, let’s make a little difference for everyone facing breast cancer today. 🩷

Comment “FARMERS MARKET” and I’ll send my latest Substack post straight to your DMs, breaking down all the beautiful benefits of this glorious seasonal produce 🥕🫶🏻✨

One of my favourite ways to eat for an anti-inflammatory lifestyle? Start with what’s in season. So I’m listing all my October farmers’ market finds for you! 🍐🎃🍎

This time of year in California, the farmers’ markets are overflowing with apples, pears, persimmons, pomegranates, figs, grapes, winter squash, sweet potatoes, cruciferous vegetables and gorgeous leafy greens — all naturally packed with different combinations of fibre, antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals.

I always say: eat the rainbow, but let the seasons choose the colours. 🌈

Eating seasonally isn’t about making nutrition complicated. It’s about filling your basket with beautiful whole foods at their peak, cooking simply, and giving your body as much variety as possible.

And as a chef, nutrition coach and cancer survivor, that’s really the foundation of how I cook — plants first, lots of colour, plenty of fibre, and food that is every bit as delicious as it is nourishing. 🤍 SAVE this post for your trip to the farmers market this weekend!

Five years ago, I was her. 🤍

Sitting in a chemo chair, watching the world carry on around me and wishing more than anything that I could just be on the other side of it.

Today, I am. And I will never take that privilege for granted. 🙏🏻

1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. 1 in 8. Think about the women you love. Your mum, your sister, your daughter, your best friend. The American Cancer Society

So this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please let this be your reminder to take care of yourself. Know your body. Know what your breasts normally look and feel like. Pay attention when something changes. Know your family history and your individual risk. Do your self exams in the mirror. And please, schedule the screenings that are appropriate for you and your age. Early detection matters. (American Cancer Society)

Do it for yourself. Do it for the people who love you.

And do it for every woman sitting in a chemo chair today, wishing she could be where you are. 🎀

For them. For the women we’ve lost. And for those of us lucky enough to be here on the other side. 🤍

Come walk with me this October 24th for Making Strides in Santa Monica for everyone in your life who has been affected. Sign up at the link in my bio 🫶🏻

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please don’t just wear pink. Take action. 🎀

A little reintroduction because there are quite a few new faces around here lately… hi! 👋🏻🤍

I’m Chloë — British born, LA based, chef, nutrition coach, women’s health advocate, breast cancer survivor, former actress, serial supper club host and mother to two extremely large fluffy bears masquerading as dogs. 😂🐻

Food has been the thread running through my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up cooking alongside my Italian Nonna, wandering local farm shops and learning very early that the best food starts with beautiful ingredients and is even better when shared around a table.

Life has taken me on a slightly unexpected journey since then. From acting in TV and film, to becoming a private chef, cooking for some incredible people, finding my way back in front of the camera through food, and then a breast cancer diagnosis in my early 30s that completely changed the way I looked at health, nutrition and ultimately, life.

This year I celebrated five years cancer-free. 🎀 Something I will never take for granted.

These days, so much of what I do sits at the intersection of all those chapters: creating delicious, nutrient-dense food, hosting people around beautiful tables, talking about women’s health and survivorship, and hopefully reminding you that looking after yourself doesn’t have to mean taking all the joy out of eating — or living.

I believe in eating your greens AND the bowl of pasta. 🥬🍝
Buying yourself flowers on a Tuesday.
Lighting too many candles.
Buying the ridiculously beautiful tomatoes at the farmers’ market.
And never waiting for “someday” to actually enjoy your life.

So whether you’ve been here for years or you’ve just arrived, welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m very happy you’re here. 🫶🏻

Now you know a little more about me… tell me something about YOU below. 🤍
