Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, cornstarch, brown sugar, and garlic chili sauce. Set aside.
Sauté Vegetables:
Sauté bell peppers and onions in oil over medium heat for a few minutes until soft and slightly charred. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Cook the Noodles:
In the same pan, add refrigerated chow mein noodles. Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and toss over medium heat until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles. Add the sautéed onions and peppers back to the pan and mix well.
Prepare the Shrimp:
Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, and olive oil. Cook in a separate pan over medium-high heat with a little oil for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and curled. Set aside.
Cook the Steak:
Season the NY strip steak with cracked sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder.
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil. Sear the steak for about 3 minutes on each side.
Reduce heat to medium, add garlic herb butter, and baste the steak with a spoon while it continues to cook to your preferred doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature for accuracy.
Prepare the Soft Boiled Egg & Butter Sauce:
Boil an egg to your desired level of doneness (typically about 6 minutes for a soft-boiled egg).
In a small saucepan, melt some butter over low heat. Stir in salt, pepper, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and herbs. Drizzle this butter sauce over the soft-boiled egg before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve the steak sliced alongside the noodles and shrimp.
Garnish with the soft-boiled egg and drizzle with the butter sauce.
Enjoy your hearty and flavorful meal!
