Stumbled upon the most delicious bakery

My dad is by far my favorite foodie (and drinking partner)! We ordered the California Club, Ham&Cheese Croissant, Monkey Bread and the Cream Bun. Everything was delicious we took some extras to go!

🍇Lessons from the vineyard!

As the last grapes are of this year’s harvest are picked, the weather becomes colder, and the growing season comes to an end.

So what happens in the vineyard? The vines go dormant. The green shoots turn woody and become canes, and the leaves fall off. The vines store their carbohydrate reserves in its root for the next growing season.

We can all learn a thing or two from the vines. You’ve been through a lot this year, we all have, but you have much to be proud of. Recognize the fruits of your labor, relish in your accomplishments, and don’t forget to rest!

You ever work all day, and at the end of it you’re like, “wtf did I even do today”?

That’s has been me this week. I’ve decided to keep a running list of wins - big and small. It’s a reminder to myself that it’s about the journey, not the finish line.

I say all that so say, I’m absolutely still adjusting to this new lifestyle of mine.

Languedoc: land of hidden gems. It was an absolute dream to spend two days in Languedoc learning about the land, connecting with the producers, and indulging in the wines. My favorite part of the experience was tastings the diversity in the wines. There is something for everyone in Languedoc.

•If you like sparkling wines consider Blanquette de Limoux, Blanquette de Limoux Méthode Ancestrale, or Crémant de Limoux
•If dessert wines are your jam, you won’t be disappointed by the rich and luscious Vins Doux Naturels made from Muscat
•If zippy white wines are more your thing, try Picpoul de Pinet with fresh seafood or Mediterranean dishes
•Maybe red blends are your go-to, then Cabardès is a great choice

Have I fallen in love with Paris?

My first time in Paris was in 2018. I had a little over 24 hours in the city before heading to Champagne. My bestie and I made a mad dash around the city visiting the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, and making an unsuccessful attempt to buy my first designer bag.

I left longing for the Paris experience that I had heard about and seen in the movies. I wanted to feel the magic.

This time feels different. I kept my schedule mostly open. (I have a dinner scheduled that I am so excited for, I cannot wait to show you who I’m meeting.)

I followed the recommendation of and I left time to “flâner” - to wander.

I’m writing this from the patio of a cute little noodle bar. A biker rode by, smiled and said “bon appétit” before I devoured the dish.

Maybe I do love Paris after all. 🇫🇷

The energy in the wines of Languedoc is palpable. Languedoc's history is riddled with hardship that could have spoiled the reputation but didn’t. Today, the winemakers are resilient and challenge the status quo. Their biggest flex is making good wine despite what naysayers may think.

The winemaking is instinctual; it’s rebellious and free. The producers know the rules, but also when to break them. A sentiment we can all relate to. The result is wines that are cerebral- making you reflect on the beauty that can from obstacles.

Counting my lucky stars that I get to experience Languedoc firsthand. Thank you for an epic time.
