As March comes to a close, we pause with gratitude and admiration to remember CH Kevin’s Sweet Cindy Seven—truly one exceptional dairy goat.

At 11 years old, she lived a remarkable life filled with unforgettable achievements. There were many rosettes and banners garnered; most memorably, she earned Best Senior Doe in Show at the Kentucky State Fair in both 2018 and 2019, and in 2020—with COVID restrictions limiting shows, at the only one we were able to attend—she captured a Double Ring Best in Show.

Cindy was a powerful, correct, and well-balanced doe, known for her outstanding general appearance, striking udder attachment, and unwavering will to milk. As our last living daughter of Kastdemur’s Seven Seven Seven and the matriarch of our “Cindy” line, her legacy runs deep.

The last few days, the barn has felt a little more hollow without her spirited presence—but her impact, influence, and memory will carry on for years to come.
