Introducing IKSWONED’S PTOLEMY
3-year-old, 2nd freshening American LaMancha

PTOLEMY descends maternally from the same outstanding line as our 2021 ADGA National Champion and Best Udder Record Grade Senior Doe, CH IKSWONED’S SUPERNOVAS, and is a daughter of her maternal sister, CH IKSWONED’S STELLARIS.

PTOLEMY is another daughter of KASTDEMUR’S 16TH AVENUE, a son of the 2023 ADGA National Champion and Best Udder LaMancha. His daughters are becoming known in our herd for the traits we value most: dairy strength, open ribbing, pliable skin, freedom from excess flesh, long and full fore udders, and a genuine will to milk.

PTOLEMY exemplifies the kind of functional dairy character, productivity, and longevity we strive to produce. She combines the style and presence desired in the show ring with the structural correctness and dairy strength necessary for a productive, lasting career.

Although PTOLEMY has not yet made her show-ring debut, we are confident that her style, structural correctness, and proven maternal genetics will allow her to represent our breeding program well when she does.

Her 2026 March buck kid, sired by KASTDEMUR’S 5 CARD STUD (*B Autumn-Acres Titanium x GCH Kastdemur’s Poker Face 7*M), is now ready to become part of your breeding program.

4th-generation homebred IKSWONED’S UY Scuti, a 4-year-old third-freshening American LaMancha daughter of *B CH Kastdemur’s Vandal, is an excellent example of that breeding philosophy in action.

At the 2026 Ohio State Fair, she was named Reserve Grand Champion, standing Reserve to another homebred IKSWONED doe—a result that reflects the consistency and depth of the breeding program we have built at Catwalk Farm.

This is the kind of balanced, productive dairy goat we work hard to breed, generation after generation.

What a great weekend attending our 1st Ohio State Fair during its 171st year! We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a historic event and proud of how our girls represented Catwalk Farm.

When breeding quality dairy goats, we strive for excellence in the most important part of the word “dairy”—the mammary system.

On the ADGA Unified Scorecard, the Mammary System is worth 35 points out of 100 for a Senior Doe, making it a heavily weighted category.

Those 35 points are divided into:

• Udder Support – 13 points
• Rear Udder – 7 points
• Balance, Symmetry & Quality – 6 points
• Fore Udder – 5 points
• Teats – 4 points

IKSWONED’S UY Scuti, a 4-year-old third -freshening American LaMancha daughter of *B CH Kastdemur’s Vandal, is an excellent example of checking off the score card. This weekend those udder points earned her two Reserve Championships!

Strong attachments, capacity, balance, and overall quality—this is the kind of mammary system we work hard to breed, generation after generation.

A weekend we probably won’t do again—two shows, two days, and two different parts of Kentucky!

We started Saturday at the Battle on the Bluegrass in Henderson, KY and wrapped up Sunday at the Bourbon & Bluegrass Classic in Harrodsburg, KY.
We picked up several championship legs, and a few does making their first trip off the farm earned Reserve Champion honors. It was a great weekend and an even better test of our animals abilities as we look ahead to bigger summer shows.

We’re proud of every one of our does and excited to see what the rest of the show season has in store!

7th-generation homebred American LaMancha IKSWONED’S RAZZLE-DAZZLE is a 3-year-old second freshening doe that reflects the breeding goals of our herd.

Sired by IKSWONED’S RAMANDU, a son of the 2021 ADGA National Champion and Best Udder Record Grade Senior Doe CH IKSWONED’S SUPERNOVAS, she carries forward the style, balance, and exceptional mammary quality for which this family is known.

Long, level, and flat-boned with open ribbing, Razzle-Dazzle blends strength, femininity, and dairyness into a beautifully balanced package. Her mammary system is globally attached with ideal fore udder extension and excellent teat placement, size, and shape. A long, elegant neck and smooth, graceful movement complete a doe with undeniable presence.

While she hasn’t had the opportunity to campaign in the show ring as a milking doe like her littermate, IKSWONED’S RAZZMATAZZ, Razzle-Dazzle possesses the same correctness, style, and genetic value that define this family. Her quality is unmistakable.

Rear udder shots aren’t usually my favorite, but I do like what Ikswoned’s Pizzazz is showing at her last show. 2nd freshening experimental daughter of Ikswoned’s Ramandu, and the proof is in the bucket.

When speaking of a homebred generational doe—especially one built on multiple generations—what does that really mean?

On paper, this is a 6th generation homebred line that traces back to 1996, when this line’s foundation dam, Ginger, was born, then raised, and lived her entire life on this farm, sired by our a homebred buck, out of my 4H project doe, born to us in 1992.

That’s nearly 30+ years of dreams, disappointments, setbacks and success. It’s the memories of the animals that came before her, and the people and moments that shaped each generation along the way.

A homebred generational doe is more than a pedigree on paper. It’s seeing her move through the barn or the show ring and recognizing the consistency, intention, and genetics built across decades. It’s a connection to the past, a reflection of the present, and a glimpse of the future all in one animal.

Farming and breeding livestock are never easy. But every so often, a moment comes along that makes it all worth it—a moment decades in the making that overshadows everything else. This past Saturday was one of those moments.

Congratulations to CH (pending) Kevin’s Sweet Cindy Ballard, ADGA Recorded Grade Champion and Best of Breed and Best Senior Doe in Show, Rings 1 & 2, at the 2026 Lincoln County Classic in Washington, Indiana.

Today, the herd made the trek to Washington County to compete in the Lincoln County Classic. We always look forward to attending this show and greatly appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and hospitality that go into hosting such a wonderful event.

We give thanks and praise for safe travels, good fellowship, and the opportunity to exhibit the animals we have worked so hard to breed and develop. The herd represented itself well and made us proud throughout the day.

Thank you to the show committee, volunteers, judges, and exhibitors for another enjoyable event. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate and look forward to next year!
