We had the most incredible night with John Hardy 🤝 Davis Jewelers at Sake a Gogo

And the timing was WILD because the brand John Hardy is based, inspired, and handmade in Bali and we were literally just in Bali last month! 🤯 How cool!!!

They have so many incredible pieces with some of my favorite collections being the Heishi, Spear, Icon, and Naga.

The chains in the Icon collection are all handwoven and not only did we get to see the making in action from the Balinese artisans, I got to weave a link into a chain myself! It’s harder than they make it look! 😅

The serpent heads for the Naga collection are all hand carved in wax and we got to see that process too! AND in Balinese tradition, the Naga is a sacred, powerful serpent believed to protect the mountains and the waters that give life to the island. It’s believed to live atop Mt. Batur which is the volcano that we hiked on our trip!! 🤯 So I HAD to get a special piece from that collection and I’m so obsessed with it. 😍🥰🐍🌋

We were so impressed by this brand and the whole event. If you’re ever in Bali you have to check out the John Hardy Bali workshop and I hope to go back one day and see it. But if you want to pick up some pieces closer to home, stop by Davis Jewelers . 💎🩵

Did you know you can eat dinner in an old horse barn in Louisville?! Complete with stables and all! 🐴☺️

This might be the most uniquely Kentucky dinner experiences and so perfect for a date night!

Barn 8 Restaurant is a farm-to-table restaurant and the menu items are wonderful. Hermitage Farm has gardens and an orchard that supply much of the produce used at Barn8 which recently got a new hospitality team and head chef and everything was excellent.

Hermitage Farm is nearly 700 acres and is a real working Thoroughbred farm, historic estate, conservation project, restaurant, event space, and art destination. You can do bourbon tastings and take tours to see the horses. So there’s more to do than just dinner if you wanted to make it a whole activity! 🌾🐎

Annnd there’s a trail behind the restaurant that turns into a light show art walk on Wed-Sun from dusk til 10pm.✨

It’s officially time for cute fall dates in Louisville! 🎃🍂🫶

Tonight we visited Jack's Lantern Trail and there’s nothing quite like the magic of a pumpkin trail.

A ✨new✨authentic Ethiopian restaurant just opened in Louisville! 🇪🇹

We recently tried mimisethiopianrestaurant and it was such a nice date night. ☺️ We got to try a little bit of everything, and if you’ve never had Ethiopian food before, this is definitely a fun way to experience it!

There are all kinds of dishes but the sampler was awesome. There’s a lot of food though so this would actually be a great double date or bring the whole friend group ORRRR come by yourself but make sure you’re really really hungry 😂

Also, if the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony set up is available when you’re there definitely do it. It’s a lovely experience and the coffee is excellent. They roast it right there in front of you from green coffee beans! ☕️

Definitely add Mimi’s to your list of Louisville restaurants to try when you want to try something a little different for your next date night. ☺️🫶

I didn’t know Louisville had a place where you can make your own purfume!! 🤯😍
 
Inside mellwood art center theres a place called KULLI ATELIER 💍🤍 . They have a perfume bar and jewelry design shop. 🌹
 
We did a perfume making date night and it was so fun and unique. ☺️
The owner Elias is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. He was so fun and helped us through the entire process.
 
I love the idea of creating your own custom scents for your wedding day or special occasions. This was such a fun date night and he also offers this for groups so it would be an awesome girls night too. 🌸

This might be the cutest and classiest date you can do in Louisville. ☺️
(I took Aaron but it would be so fun with girl friends too!)

The historic The Brown Hotel has brought back their monthly Sunday Tea series with seasonal themes, specialty teas, savory bites + sweets served in the iconic hotel. 💕

Upcoming Brown Hotel Sunday Tea dates + themes:

Ahhh very excited to see a Sierra open in Elizabethtown! 🌲👚🥾🎒⛺️

Sierra is in the TJ Maxx & HomeGoods family and they’re known for offering incredible value on activewear, footwear, and outside essentials from your favorite brands.

So pumped they have a location in Etown now so we can stop in when we go down to visit Aaron’s mom. When I said I’ve never left empty-handed I meant it. 😆🛍️
