Even though we are nearing the end of the Farmer's Market Season, there is still plenty of fresh, healthy, organic produce to be grown, harvested and enjoyed as part of your regular diet. The beauty of being a microgreens farmer--we grow year 'round indoors!

So come on out to the South End Community Market to stock up on your week's supply of microgreens (3 variety this week), organic herbed finishing salts (I just jarred a new jalapeno salt!) and some delicious baked goods using Kentucky Proud ingredients either from other farms, or from EagleAllen! (apple dumplings, pumpkin spice whoopie pies w/ a cinnamon maple filling, browned butter chai spice oatmeal cream pies!)

Hey y'all...I am sorry, I have overcommitted and overextended myself this weekend so I will have to sit this week out. I do have tons of microgreens available and happy to arrange for porch pick up Saturday or Sunday, I am roughly 1.25 miles from the market! For your inconvenience, I am offering them this weekend at just $4/containers instead of $5.

And while I have your attention, the South End Community Market has meant a lot to our community. Today is, as many know, Give for Good and SECM has their sights set on raising $2,000. This helps offset overhead, keep vendor fees economical, and (with hope) expand to SNAP Double Dollars in seasons to come.

Please pitch in any amount, even $25 helps.

Back at the market tomorrow with a couple fresh batches of herbed salt, fresh cut herbs, microgreens and a limited supply of something new, special, and unique to THIS market only. What is it? Mmmmm I can't tell ya just yet, but be there bright n early cause the are in super limited test-run quantity. :)

As of now, we are planning to be at the South End Community Market in the morning. Put your galoshes and raincoat on and come grab some great, fresh, local produce. I am only bringing microgreens and fresh basil in case the weather takes a turn.

This may be the last of the kale until fall.

We are keeping a close eye on the weather. The South End Community Market is a rain or shine market, but it does get cancelled if lightning is in the area.

This may be the final harvest of the kale until the weather and bugs break. Sometimes growing things organically means you can't save your plants from pests.

But tomorrow I will have a few bags of kale and tons of microgreens for you. Due to the weather, I probably won't bring anything else, but we'll see after the reports later today.
