🚜Root Shoot Takes On GABF This Week! 🍻

It’s Great American B**r Fest week in Colorado which means brewers, b**r lovers, malt nerds, and industry friends are taking over Denver and we’re ready for it.

There’s a lot happening this week, from a Craft Malt Tap Takeover at Old 121 Brewhouse to the first-ever dedicated Craft Malt B**r category at GABF, plus a few opportunities to get behind the scenes at the malthouse, drink some great b**r, and celebrate the farmers and maltsters behind it.

It’s a chance to think about what’s (and who's) behind your b**r... the farmer who grew the grain, the maltster who transformed it, and the brewer who brought it all together.

So we encourage ya'll to ask your local brewery about their malt. The supply chain matters, and knowing where your ingredients come from makes the b**r that much more meaningful.🚜

The cows are moving, the sorghum is growing, and we’re down to the last of our irrigation water for the year.
Naturally, Todd is looking at cow p**p. 😂

September is , and apparently we’re celebrating by trying to fit ALL THE THINGS into one weekend. 🌾🍺🥃🏈

☝️Lady Justice Brewing turned 10! Yep, same year as us! We had a blast celebrating with our Colorado Brewers Guild friends and Steve Staeger | Colorado Consumer Reporter And Meg... that Märzen is sooooo good. 🍻

✌️ Our Mutual Friend Brewing Co. dropped their Fresh Hop b**r brewed with Root Shoot! ’Tis the season, people. 🌿🍺 And they’re gearing up to celebrate 13 years next month! 🎉

👌 Our friends Colorado Craft Distillery + Johnson Brothers Maverick of Colorado took home Best Bourbon and poured samples with the Colorado Corn Promotion Council at Colorado State Rams 🐏 Ag Day. And you guessed it... made entirely with Root Shoot grains. 🌽🥃

✋ Colorado State Football won big, and we did too! Thanks to our friends Talnua Distillery for the ticket hookup. Fun fact: you can get Talnua right inside Canvas Stadium! And dang it, no photo proof, but we spent the first half hanging with our Odyssey B**rwerks friends. 🐏🏈

🖐️ Pumphouse Brewery is cranking out some GREAT Root Shoot b**rs. Their latest Pale Ale was brewed with Mark Boelman for his ProAm win! Football season is officially here, so grab a burger, catch the game, and drink a Root Shoot b**r. 🍔🍺

Lots going on. Lots worth celebrating. And a pretty dang fun way to spend . 🌾

Happy ! 🌾🍻

We’ve been BUSY around here, and September is giving us plenty of reasons to celebrate craft malt. New b**r releases, gold medals, fresh hops, flapjacks, brewer summits… you get the idea.

🍺 Horse & Dragon Brewing Co🐴🐲🍻 released their NOCO Sown Rye IPA, featuring malt from Root Shoot + Troubadour Maltings! Even better, $1 from every pint sold in September goes to Craft Maltsters Guild.

🥞 City Star Brewing released Local Yokel, the first-ever b**r brewed with Root Shoot Malt! They also celebrated Flapjack Day, raising money for the Berthoud Historical Society. B**r + flapjacks. Hard to argue with that combo.

🍯 Another GOLD for Bent Barley Brewing and their Honey Kölsch! This time at the National Honey Board’s 2026 Honey B**r Competition, making it the b**r’s third gold medal. Next stop… GABF? 👀🤞

🌿 It’s FRESH HOP SEASON! We’re pretty damn lucky here in Colorado to have local hops AND locally grown and malted grain. Keep an eye out for the fresh hop collab from Broken Compass Brewing + Breck Brew Pub hitting taps!

🎤 And Adam has been putting in some miles. Did you catch him at the 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗠𝗘𝗫𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗!🍻 Summit talking regenerative agriculture, farming and craft malt? Next up: Wyoming!
