Breeding season is right around the corner. We’re excited for our pairings this year.

First things first is herd health care!

This weekend we’ll be looking over the herd, and doing our pre breeding care on top of the monthly care we do.

Plans are for late March/early April kids.

Had a busy day yesterday!Canned my own Spaghetti Sauce. Made 15 quarts and 1 pint. Packaged 24 ears of corn into 6 meals...

Had a busy day yesterday!

Canned my own Spaghetti Sauce. Made 15 quarts and 1 pint.

Packaged 24 ears of corn into 6 meals.

Packaged 5 lbs of ground pork and 4 lbs of ground turkey.

2 meals of Pork Chops, 1 crockpot meal

Today’s plans:

Spiced Peach Cinnamon Rolls
Peach Jam
Peach Cobbler
Pasta Salad with chicken/apples and grapes

Women and girls can do anything they set their minds too.

Yesterday we were feeding 21 meat birds. Today mom and I prepped them to feed us. Tomorrow we’ll package them up.

Low temps this morning. But farm chores don’t stop because of the weather. Usually Saturday’s are for cleaning pens and water troughs. Today I cleaned water troughs and took the quiet time to trim all 16 goats feet’s. Back breaking but necessary. Boys are starting to mark themselves means feet trimming is going to be smelling for 6 ish months!

Stopped at fruit stands on our way home from Washington. Picked up 18 ears of sweetcorn, 7 1/2 pounds of blackberries 17 1/2 pounds of Blondee apples and 19 pounds of Honeycrisp apples , plus some pluots.

Made lots of blackberry, jam, apple butter, and applesauce
