Crested Ducks. These were on Kayden’s dream list for our flock and we snagged 3 cuties today. I won’t get into alllll the details about the competitive poultry buying processes here in Western Loudoun, but suffice it to say that a good good friend made my daughter’s ducky dreams come true today. The view from the playroom. I’m always happy to come in here and organize their trinkets, each piece well loved.....And it makes me sad at the same time. For the same reason that I bawl at Toy Story. They grow so fast. Lightening speed it seems. Baby puzzles, toy trains, wooden blocks are all on their way out while super heroes and fast cars are zooming their way in. I’m instructed to enjoy every moment but it’s so hard not to look backwards and remember the littleness and long for it tremendously. I miss them being little, but I’m so proud of who they’re becoming. @ Life at Willow Tree Farm

Someone got a quick big girl room makeover today! She helped round up toys that she’d like to donate and made room for some new favorites. This little cutie gets the most hand me downs in the family, and often takes her sister’s leftovers for decor too. This is the time of year when I’m not home very much, and when I am, I’m glued to my computer because marketing, paperwork, negotiations, and deadlines never end. My sweet girl knew just what to put together to make me feel just a shred less guilty for not being the best version of Mom since....well....January (yes, Spring Market starts in January!!) #favoritechild status today 🥰

On this Good Friday we reflect. God gives us SO much. So many abundant blessings, throughout our lives. Even when we can’t see them. Even when we cannot possibly understand them. They’re good. They’re for His purpose and timing and glory. Who else could possibly sacrifice their precious son to die for the sins of the WORLD? I can’t fathom. And Jesus went willingly, because he knew. Today we give thanks, reflect, and pray. 📖 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
