New girls all expecting babies in the fall! Registered Red Angus cows for Long Stone Farm. The view from my house gets better every day.

Heading out the drive earlier this morning big daddy and his girls were resting in the sun. The babies were tucked in by their moms to avoid the wind. There is so much beautiful green grass this time of year!

Farmers work 7 days a week. On this beautiful Sunday afternoon when many are at brunch or just relaxing the farmers are putting in a full day. Planting for spring has started for Long Stone and Hidden Covey Farm. My grandchildren are out at the tractor with their Great Grandmother taking their dad some lunch. These children are lucky to grow on a working farm with parents dedicated to preserving the farm land for their future. #LoudounCounty

Cattle grazing on this cloudy November Sunday. Lots of excitement at the farm, the new house will be done in weeks. Projects are starting in the barns as we look forward to spring plans.

A wonderful evening with some local chefs. They visited Long Stone Farm and then shared great dishes for dinner

A busy day at the farm in spite of the bad weather. Many years of manure and dirt removed from the main barn. We had already removed all the old stalls and feed troughs. The beautiful beams will be supported by new concrete to keep the barn stable for many years to come.
