Mini Rose Farm Small farm

My family and I have grown up around animals. My parents, Joe and Joy own the property but we all pitch in to make sure that everything runs right. I, Kimi, have grown up around all sorts of different animals and currently work part-time as a veterinary assistant. I have trained for 11 years as a hunter/jumper and have done a lot of equine management student work. Our property is open to all animals in need of a home. We serve as a final home or rehab center to be sold after further training or care. I also train up and coming equine lovers as I live to help them reach their goals. I focus on teaching young riders to grow a bond with their four legged friend both mounted and unmounted. Please contact us by phone or email for further questions on equine lessons or if you have an animal in need.

Blue came home tonight. It's going to be a long recovery, but I think he's in good hands with barn manager Kimi. Night time checks for the first week to make sure the containment stall is holding up to curious horse and pony mates. Please continue to pray for our boy to heal fast, and if you would like to contribute to Blues sick fund we have an open page on GoFundMe. Any donations are greatly appreciated. His final ER bill was over 5,500.

Been a very long few months. Sorry for not posting recently.

Here are a few updates.
Our barn manager Kimi has been struggling with some health concerns for the past year. She was just recently diagnosed with Mono with further testing pending. With this diagnosis she isn’t able to ride for 3 months.
So we want to send a big thank you out to our help recently and for the foreseen future.

First off thanks to Allyson Mitchell who has taken Blue for the next few months to help continue his western training and barrel work. She is also in the process of continuing to find him his forever home! Thanks again Allyson.

Next to our new working assistant/student Amber who we also want to congratulate on her new lease of our forever member City. Amber and City showed affect for each other right away and we can’t wait to see where the bond takes them too.

Also thank you to Jackie who is from Lovettsville and was kind enough to respond to our Facebook ad about needing help keeping our sweet City in work over these next few months.

Thanks to everyone who has given us support and has been a shoulder for Kimi to lean on.

Updates will continue to be posted.

Our horse Blue was diagnosed with a pyoderma infection on his nose today. He's being treated accordingly and on stall rest for the week to help heal more quickly. We hope to see him back in work soon! Thanks to our wonderful doctors at Hoof and Paw, Dr. DeArmas and Dr. Horne for helping us get down to the bottom of his sore nose!

Starbuck is still doing great at his trial. Bethany and him seem to be forming a bond. We get to see it in action on Friday when we join them for a trail ride. More updates to come!
