We are getting ready to start Boys’ Club and Kids’ Club again!

What do we do at Boys’ Club and Kids’ Club?
We empower kids with meaningful, hands-on life skills in the ambiance of our beautiful urban farm!

Check out the video below for a glimpse at the kinds of things kids get to do at our homestead.

Here are a few of the things we did last semester:
🔥 learned multiple ways to build and light fires
🪓 split lots of wood
🧀 made cheese and butter
🌾foraged for edible and medicinal plants
🥘 cooked in cast iron over open fires
🧗‍♀️ did obstacle courses and tug of war
🕯️ made copper oil burners
🍺 crafted natural sodas
⚽️ played team sports
🫖 made herbal tea blends
🔨 did workshop projects
🥣 made “survival soup”
🌱 planted seeds and propagated plants

We’re starting up again next month, and we still have spots available. Use the Google Forms to sign-up, or feel free to reach out with any questions!

Thanks to everyone who signed up for our first summer day camp session. We had SO much fun- it couldn't have been a better kickoff to summer or a better group of kids for our first group of campers. Here are a few things we heard from our attendees:

“I loved every second of every day!”
“I want to sign up for every event you do here!”
“Great job, Mr. Matt and Ms. Marin, for always making it fun for kids!”
“I told you guys this would be way better than playing video games!”
“Does it have to be over?”

And some of the feedback from the parents:

"You guys are the best! I should have been a kid this week and signed myself up!"
"Thank you so much for being an amazing family team and sharing with others!"
"My daughter came home so pumped. Her cup hasn't been this full in a long time."

The video is long, but we packed a lot into 3 days, and it's worth watching to the end to see all the cool things these kids got to experience.

Our second session of Kids' Camp, at the end of July, is already full, but we do still have space in our Teen Camp, coming up next week! Teens will be doing everything these kids did and more. Sign up link is below, flyer in the comments!!

We're just a little over a week away from our first round of summer day camps!! We're going to have so much fun- I hope you are ready for your kids to ask if they can move in at Honeysuckle Hills. ;) We still have space if you want to join one of our sessions!

I know you haven’t heard from us in awhile…

As we like to say, we’re much better at homesteading than we are at social media😅… but we’ve been onto some new ventures this year and are excited to share!

On a quest to provide our own homeschooled children with opportunities for meaningful, quality social time with other like-minded kids, we started offering a couple small clubs for other homeschoolers over the past school year.

And that has blossomed into something truly beautiful. We are working with the next generation, teaching them important life skills and lost arts, and they are having a blast in the process! Matt and I both feel so in our element and so fulfilled to be creating life-long memories for these kids while fostering relationships and connection among them. We have gotten such great feedback from the kids and their parents that we are looking for ways to expand our offerings.

Up next on the agenda… Summer Day Camps!

Our summer day camps are probably unlike any you or your child have experienced. At Honeysuckle Hills, homesteading meets survivalism meets real world science, art, and life skills. Your child will be immersed in 3 days of workshops that will empower them, foster their creativity and resilience, and reconnect them with nature and with their own inner drive to experience life in meaningful ways.

Click the link below to fill out the registration form, or feel free to drop questions in the comments or shoot us a text or an email. We keep our groups small and intentional, so be sure to reserve your spot(s) quickly if you’re interested! We still have space in both of our July sessions and a few spots left in our June session as well.

Thank you so much to everyone who came for our foraging classes last weekend! We had such a fun time foraging with you guys, drinking tea, sampling spritzers and wine, and talking about the many ways to put the plants in your backyard to use. We are so grateful for our amazing family, friends, and community who continue to support us in pursuing and sharing our passions.
If you missed the class but would like to come to our farm to learn about any of these facets, get a few friends together and give us a shout. We're always happy to put together a private experience around whatever you'd like to learn (and orchard wine and wildcrafted herbal teas are always on the agenda). ❤️

P.S. Milo totally stole the show on Sunday by finding a HUGE morel in the middle of our foraging walk! 🍄😍 Evidence in photos. :)
