Backyard Microbakery will be taking a short break and will be closed until July 1st.

We’re heading to Italy for a little adventure—exploring local bakeries, learning from traditional baking methods, and soaking up plenty of inspiration from the country that has influenced so much of the baking world. 🇮🇹🥖

We’re excited to bring home new ideas, flavors, and inspiration for our sourdough and baked goods, and we can’t wait to share them with you when we return.

Thank you so much for your continued support while we’re away. We truly appreciate it and look forward to baking for you again soon!

THE FARM MARKET AT PASSER is back THIS WEDNESDAY, June 3rd, and we are SO excited to see you all! Rain or shine, your community market at the historic Passer Schoolhouse is open and ready to go.

One day at the microbakery

I made this simply delicious egg sandwich today! The egg sandwich was a perfect combination of fresh local ingredients that came from vendors at the Farm Market at Passer. The great artisan sourdough bread is from Backyard Microbakery and the wonderful organic eggs are from Macungie Mountain Herb Farm.

Come find the Macungie Mountain Herb Farm lemonade stand at Wrightstown Farmers Market, Saturdays May-Thanksgiving 9AM-12PM this Saturday from 9 am to noon and purchase their organic, farm-fresh eggs (brown, blue and green) from their happy chickens available this week still for $7 per dozen.
