Spotted a giant cluster of bees hanging from a tree in your yard or in your garbage can? Don't panic — and please, don't spray them. 🐝

That's a swarm. And it's one of the most fascinating things honeybees do.
Here's what's happening: the colony got too large, so the old queen left with about half the bees to find a new home.
They're resting while scout bees search. Right now, they have no home to defend — they are at their calmest.

What to do:
✅ Leave them alone if they're not in a structure
✅ Call us — we can often remove a swarm fast and for little to no cost
❌ Do NOT spray them
❌ Do NOT wait if they're moving into your walls — that's when it gets expensive

I love what I do — especially the beekeeping part of it. 🐝

What a lot of people don’t see is how much of running a beekeeping business actually happens outside of the bee yard. There’s always admin work, messages, orders, planning, and a hundred other things to keep up with Monday through Friday.

But the bees don’t care what day it is.

I’ve been working 7 days a week for a while now, and honestly… I still love it. I look forward to it, I enjoy it, and when I’m away from it too long, I miss it. Even on the tiring days.

So I really appreciate moments like this — lighting the smoker, moving through the routine, listening to nature, slowing down for a minute, and feeling grateful for the work I get to do.
