Smokin Raiders teamed up with Craig Hall and Travis Sanders and made the Short trip to Buffalo Lake and competed in The ABC Pro Rodeo cookoff. When it was all said and done we ended up with a 5th Chicken,6th Ribs and 7th Brisket. What do you know, after about a year hiatus the old Boys pulled out a Reserve Grand Champion. Congratulations to Soloman Hernandez on his GC. I also want to congratulate my beautiful Bride Tiffany on her big 7th place Rib walk not bad for her first ever solo cookoff. She teamed up with our good Friend Rachel Elbert and team No Regerts and had an awesome 15 overall finish. Way to go girls. Thanks to Scott And team ABC Rodeo on the great event.

Bob Wills Day Cookoff is always a great Cookoff put on by awesome people. We walked away with 6th Ribs,6th Brisket and 12th Chicken. That was good enough for 5th overall. Congratulations to Gary Robertson GC and Tom Clarke RGC. Big thank you to Jenn Leigh for making that long trip up to run a flawless Judging room.

In a couple of weeks we will be making the short trip to the Spirit Ranch for the ABC Rodeo Cookoff benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Lubbock. Load the pit up and come cook with us. If you don’t cook but like BBQ come judge. Hopefully I haven’t forgotten how to cook. 😃
