Murphy Family Farm officially began in the spring of 2024 with the dream of creating a farm that can eventually supply a full year's diet from the land. We believe in a regenerative agriculture philosophy whereby we re-establish a relationship with the land; the land heals and eventually works as a full ecosystem to be productive again. We began our farming work by rotationally grazing Dexter catt
le followed close behind with our flock of 300 hens who are fed with organic, non-GMO, no soy feed. This process assists with re-building soil fertility out here in West Texas which typically gets little rainfall. While many believe the best thing for land is to remove humans entirely from the farming process, we believe we can steward the land to its best, most productive self by focusing on diversity over single crop production. We have higher standards than organic certification; we are a natural ecosystem that allows the land, animals, and climate to all work together with the eventual goal of having no external inputs.
