A Little Market Update!

You won’t see Cluck & Stuff Farms at the market this Saturday but, it’s for a pretty special reason. đŸ„°

We’re trading flour-covered counters and market tables for boxes, dorm-room dĂ©cor, and probably a few mama tears as we move Kota into her college dorm! đŸŽ“đŸ“šđŸ©·

It’s a big weekend for our family, and while we’ll miss seeing all of our wonderful market people, we wouldn’t miss this milestone for the world.

We’ll be back the following week, rested-ish(if you know you know) đŸ„ŽđŸ˜‚, probably emotional, and ready to fill the tables with all your favorites again!

Say a little prayer for Kota as she starts this brand new chapter and maybe one for this mama as I drive away from that dorm. đŸ„čđŸ™đŸ»

See y’all next week!

Friends, it’s been a little while since I’ve sat down to share.

Last time I wrote, we’d just lost Jules’s litter after her emergency C-section, and that tiny piglet we fought so hard to save. I honestly didn’t know how we’d show up, but I showed up anyway
 And God met me there.

Through you.

Through hugs and prayers at my booth, through folks who reminded me this table is more than bread. It’s community.

The very next week was heavy. Some health concerns flared up for me that I’m working through with my doctors. Then Tater Tot crashed. Emergency surgery, almost five days in the hospital. Waiting for those phone calls was exhausting, and right in the middle of that, my brand new ovens weren’t working. I sat for 14 hours watching every single loaf, every scone, every cookie.

I kept thinking, “Lord, I don’t know how this is going to work.”

But He never asked me to know how. He asked me to trust.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3

That Saturday, I had almost nothing on the table. No focaccia, just a handful of loaves, some chocolate chip cookies, blueberry scones, vanilla bean, and you bought it all.

That wasn’t just you supporting a bakery. That was God providing through you.

Then because life piles it on sometimes, the bees swarmed. We had to re-queen in a hurry. The chickens slowed down. This morning, I found one of our barrows with an abscess
 and then the call came

Tater Tot could come home.

She climbed in the truck and, well, chose that moment to start p**ping. I’ve never been so happy to see p**p in my life. She came home, started eating, running, acting like herself again.

And Miss Jules? She’s back to her feisty, ornery, loving self, running the farm like she owns the place.

Watching her now, I can’t help but see God’s kindness in the slow, ordinary healing.

This season has stretched us, financially, emotionally, spiritually. Rescue life isn’t cheap. And next week, I won’t be at market because I get the privilege of moving my daughter into her college dorm. My mama’s heart is full, and a little tender.

Ever since we found a church home, it feels like one thing after another, but the harder it’s gotten, the more I’ve seen God’s faithfulness.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Thank you for walking with us. Thank you for breaking bread with our family

We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we know exactly who holds tomorrow.

With love,
Meg

Tonight, my heart is overflowing, and I don’t know if words will ever truly be enough.

The last couple of weeks have been some of the hardest our family has faced. Between the farm, the bakery, the heartbreak, and the weight of trying to hold everything together, I let the enemy whisper lies into my heart. I started believing that maybe I wasn’t enough, that maybe this little farm didn’t matter, that maybe I was just baking bread.

We’ve walked through deep heartbreak on the farm, including losing the litter of piglets we prayed so hard for. We fought for every life we could. While their mama is recovering beautifully, we still had to say goodbye to every one of her babies. That kind of loss leaves a mark on your heart.

We carried that grief into this week while still trying to show up, bake the bread, care for the farm, and love the people God placed in front of us. There were moments when I wondered if I had anything left to give. That’s when the enemy started telling me none of this mattered.

But today, God reminded me why He called me here.

He didn’t answer those lies with a loud voice from heaven. He answered them through you.

A sweet customer from Monkey Cafe surprised me with a shirt she made just for me. Others came to our booth, wrapped their arms around me, prayed over me, encouraged me, and spoke life into me. More than one person looked me in the eyes and said, “We only come to the market for you.”

I don’t think you’ll ever know what those words meant to me.

Tonight, I cry tears of joy. I cry tears of gratitude. I cry tears of praise.

Not because today was our biggest market. It wasn’t. We didn’t make the most money, and by the world’s standards, it may have looked ordinary. But God’s kingdom doesn’t measure success the way the world does.

Today wasn’t measured in dollars. It was measured in prayers, in hugs, in encouragement, and in the love that surrounded our little booth.

Ever since Logan and I found a church home and have drawn closer to the Lord, it’s felt like the enemy has done everything he can to attack our family, our farm, and our faith. But today was a reminder that no attack is greater than God’s faithfulness. He has never been late. He has never abandoned us. And today, He showed up right on time through His people.

One thing farming has taught me is that not every season is a harvest. Some seasons are filled with loss. Some are filled with waiting. Some break your heart. But even in those seasons, God is still working beneath the surface.

The greatest harvest isn’t always found in the field or even at the market. Sometimes, it’s found in the hearts of the people God places in your path.

The bread has never been the purpose.

The bread is simply the invitation.

God gave me bread so I could meet His people. Every loaf is an opportunity to hear your story, to laugh with you, cry with you, pray with you, and share what Christ has done in my life.

You’re not customers to me. You are friends. You’re family. You’re the heartbeat of Cluck & Stuff Farms.

When I wake up before daylight to feed a starter, shape dough, and load the trailer, I’m not thinking about sales. I’m thinking about you. I’m thinking about faces, about stories, about hugs, about laughter, and about the moments when God lets me point back to Him.

Today, when I couldn’t see my purpose, God let me see it through you.

Through a handmade shirt. Through prayers spoken over me. Through hugs that held me together. Through words I’ll carry for the rest of my life.

Thank you for every loaf you’ve ever bought. Thank you for every prayer you’ve ever prayed over our family. Thank you for every hug, every conversation, and every kind word.

I will never forget today.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you aWolfforth Farmers MarketMegan Tislero God alone be all the glory!

Friends,

I’ve stared at this post for a long time because I honestly don’t know how to put this week into words.

If you’ve ever met me at the market, you know this isn’t just a business to me. This farm is my heart. Every loaf of bread is mixed by my hands, and every animal here has a name, a story, and a piece of my heart.

This week has been one of the hardest we’ve ever faced.

We lost piglets that we had prayed so hard for. Their mama endured an emergency C-section just to survive, and while we’re incredibly thankful she’s still with us, the one little baby that made it is fading. We’ve done everything we know to do, and we’re continuing to pray, but right now her future is in God’s hands.

Today, while trying to keep our bee hives from swarming, I ended up getting stung. It wasn’t the sting that broke me—it was simply one more moment in a week that has already taken so much out of us. Sometimes you reach a point where your heart, your body, and your mind are simply exhausted.

Through all of this, one thing has weighed heavily on me.

There are customers I promised bread to. There are special orders that won’t be finished on the timeline I gave you. If you’re one of those people, I am truly sorry. Please know I don’t make promises lightly, and I never want to disappoint anyone who chooses to support our little farm.

The truth is, when an animal is fighting for its life, there isn’t a clock to punch out on. They don’t know it’s baking day or market week. They just need us.

This week has reminded me that sometimes life doesn’t go according to our plans. We don’t always understand why heartbreak comes when it does, but we do know that God walks beside us through every trial, giving us the strength to take the next step even when we feel like we have nothing left to give.

Please know this: you matter to us. You’re not just customers. Over the years, so many of you have become friends and family. You have celebrated our victories, encouraged us through our losses, prayed over our animals, and supported this little dream from the very beginning. Every loaf you purchase allows us to continue caring for this farm and the animals that call it home, and for that we are deeply grateful.

We will be at the market this Saturday. Our table may be a little lighter than usual, and some special orders may take a little longer than I had hoped, but we will be there. We are going to show up, do our very best, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Thank you for loving this farm through the beautiful days and the heartbreaking ones. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, your prayers, and your grace. They have carried us more than you’ll ever know.

Please keep our little farm, our mama pig, and our tiny fighter in your prayers.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

With love,

Meg ❀
