Two of our rabbits are headed to their new 4-H home as they begin their journey toward the Brown County Fair! 🎡🐰

We are SO excited to have a few of our Dirt Poor Rabbitry babies representing us in a new-to-us county this year! Watching these rabbits grow, learn, and head off to new families is one of the best parts of what we do. ❤️

🌟🐰 THIS IS THE FUTURE! 🐰🌟

The future of rabbitry life. The future of Dirt Poor Rabbitry. ❤️

He may only be 4½ years old, but this little guy is already learning the ropes and proving he’s going to be a big part of our future! 🥰

He can tell you what breed most of our rabbits are — New Zealand or Californian (well… most days! 😂).

He knows the girls have those fat pouches under their chins and is learning all about why they’re there.

He’s also learning how to properly hold and carry a rabbit, and he will proudly let you know if YOU are doing it wrong! 😂🐇

Watching him grow up around the rabbits, learning responsibility, kindness, and proper animal care is something pretty special.

We may be raising rabbits today, but we’re also raising the next generation of Dirt Poor Rabbitry. ❤️🐰

The future looks pretty darn good from where we’re standing! 🐇🌱

Scioto County 4-H kids have worked HARD all year long on their projects, and now is the time for our community to show them some love! ❤️

We’re asking everyone to please consider adding on to a 4-Her’s project during the auction. Even a small add-on can make a BIG difference to these kids and help them see that all of their hard work is appreciated.

Unfortunately, with Scioto County choosing to have the auction online, our 4-H kids are being majorly affected. They don’t have the same opportunity to have family, friends, local businesses, and community members in the stands cheering them on and supporting their projects.

To say I (MacKenzie) am proud is an understatement! ❤️🐰

Trey has been with our rabbitry since day one, and watching him grow over these past few years has been such a privilege. He has always been eager to learn, willing to ask questions, and ready to put in the work to become a better rabbit exhibitor.

Anyone who has ever seen Trey and I working together or talking rabbits knows we have a bond that is hard to explain. The conversations, the laughs, the learning moments, and the time spent together have created something truly special. He isn’t just a kid who shows rabbits to us — he is part of the Dirt Poor Rabbitry family. ❤️

This is Trey’s 3rd year showing rabbits. Every year we have worked together to prepare not only for the show, but more importantly, for showmanship. The first two years he came up just a little short, but he never gave up. He continued learning, improving, and pushing himself.

This year, in his first year competing in the Intermediate Division, all that hard work paid off…
