Do you see what I see? Is that pink on a southern grown panicle hydrangea? It sure is! Some of them will be in the flower bouquets tomorrow at the farmers market.

Fire Light Tidbit from Proven Winners is such a great dwarf variety! Mine handle full western facing sun without skipping a beat. From what I’ve heard, there are more coming to the market. Lots of breading is taking place to bring that beautiful pink out for us Southern gardeners.

If you are wondering why we end up with the brown panicles instead of the pink that you see on all of the tags, it is the long days with high heat at night.
