Well this storm knocked a tree down over our power line and snapped it 😭 praying they get it fixed before my eggs in the incubator get cold I don’t have any way to keep them warm or turn the bators on.

Quick announcement starting on the 20th messages may be slow in responding but I’m not ignoring I promise!

I have a funeral of a wonderful woman on my fiancés side of family that day and it is my birthday too! I have to attend that and then following the 24th and the next two weeks prior I have to help my father in law with some things on his farm while he is away with his heart surgery and recovering.

So my time has double but I’ll be getting back to things as normal shortly after!

This month has been packed but it will get better I’m sure 💕

May have a chance of some being black mottled due to a hen that likes to jump neighboring pens and lay her eggs and hop back. So there mark as either or….

I did a fertility check a few days ago by putting some in the incubator and all are forming so far but maybe one or two!!!

So needing these gone before the 24th! Have a lot going on by then and need to downsize birds I really don’t need! Between family funerals and surgeries I have to make sure I have less on my plate while helping family members! I just went a little hatch crazy with ducks when my silkies were not laying lol

3 Ducklings on heat, 4 older growout ducks not on heat, and 2 older ducks in the adult pen. Not sure on s*x but can do a bundle deal for all if you get all! They are mixed ducks

I can’t explain how much I love this house for my birds! I got tired of my old plastic housing as they always had condensation in there no matter what I did, and I hated they where on the ground, bedding would always have to be changed and the ants 😮‍💨.

I’m one of those people that love Temu! I have been doing the calendar things each month and I got this for free!! It’s supposed to be a cat housing with ventilation but I turned it into a pen for my chocolate mottled! I also cut holes on each side and added a cheap solar fan. I put one on each side, one for blowing air in and one for blow air out! Especially with this rain and heat I wanted something that would keep them cool and not too hot when locked up during storms!!!

I love the divider too I can put there feeder and water on that side during rainy days!!

This is the way to go for us until we can afford a nice shed one day! And I really don’t care for the expensive wooden chicken coops or the plastic tots.

Plus side too! there isn’t any where for mites to hide in the cracks as everything can be taken apart and cleaned with soap and water and put back together 🥳💕
