📣Important Announcement📣
*Long post but please read!
It is very hard for me to write this but here it goes... This month (March, 2023) will be our last month serving the Lynchburg, Forest, and Bedford areas, as we JUST found out that we are moving to Lake Ozark Missouri for a business opportunity to own and expand a pre-existing donut shop! We apologize for the sudden nature of our departure but we just found out ourselves a little over a week ago
😵💫🤯🥴.
In 2016 I founded Kay’s Culinary Creations with the desire to help pay for my daughter Kalia's dance class. By Fall of 2016 I was invited to join the Bedford Farmers Market family, where I made many great friends & customers. The Bedford market is really where it all started and and it will always have a special place in my heart ❤️. Then in 2019 we expanded our business to the Forest market where we made many more great friends and customers. Forest market is where our 3 girls started their lemonade stand, where we welcomed our 1st & 2nd sons, and where our kids have run wild - visiting vendor after vendor confident that they are loved and welcome - every Saturday, April-September for over 3 years. I don't know if the kids really comprehend exactly what we're giving up and leaving behind with this move, but Philip and I most certainly do 💔😭.
As amazing as the journey has been, late last year we realized that - with the changing needs of our growing family - our business, as it was, was not sustainable and didn't meet the needs of our family long-term. We weren't sure what God had for us next, but we knew something needed to change; so we began looking at options for expanding. Unfortunately, nothing we found seemed like the right fit.
Then, out of the blue, this opportunity in Missouri was presented to us; and while we were quite uncertain about it, we felt the tug to check it out. So 2 weeks ago we drove to Missouri 🚘, not really thinking anything would come of it. However, once we were there, so many things began falling into place that we knew we were looking at an opportunity from God! So we decided to step out in faith and make an offer on the building/business, and last week it was accepted! Now we are in the midst of packing 📦 our home, selling our house🏠, and getting ready to launch into this new business 💪. It is terrifying and hard to make such a big change in our life, but we know it is what our family needs at this time 👩🏼🤝👨🏽👧👧👧👦👶.
We will definitely miss our extended family here (ALL OF YOU) but we are looking forward with great anticipation to our new adventures at the Lake of the Ozark Missouri! We will keep our Facebook open and post updates about our adventures in Missouri for any of our friends and customers who would like to keep track of us. If you are ever in that part of the country please stop by and say “Hi," we'd love to see you! Back to business:
We will be at the Forest Farmer's Market this Saturday and the Bedford VA Farmers Market next Saturday.
📣 Since this will be our last month, and we did not have time to let people know sooner, we will be doing a special order pick up day the last Saturday of the month (25th). A lot of our breads and treats freeze great so get your last orders in!
