Summer&OakFarm We are a small homestead located in Lynchburg, Va. We have Exibition Quality Bantam Cochins, Colorful eggs layers, guineas,and snowflake bobwhite quail!

If you can’t tell I just LOVEEEE how they cohabitate! Turkeys, quail, guinea, and ducks!

Opossums don’t seem to bother my poultry unless they have no other source of food. This little guys just wanted a couple eggs. No big deal here so we set a trap, caught him, then released him.
Opossums are very good to have around. They don’t carry rabies and they eat TICKS and other pesky bugs.

Cohabitating: turkeys, button quail, bobwhite quail, and call ducks. When they get bigger they will be separated, but so much fun!
Basil is a little bully to the younger ones but I think she is just getting used to them.

Basil and “two” hens! When Basil hatched she was the only one and ducks neeeeddd companionship and the only other thing I had were two chicks🫶🏼

They are best friends! I’m not sure Basil knows she’s not a chicken..
