Comfort meal this evening, made by my husband. 🫶 Pork chops and bacon bits in the mashed potatoes are home grown.

The mashed potatoes are my main course. They are made with sour cream and cheese. Enough said. 🤩

A very few busy days, but I am back. 😅

Snoop Hogg and his sisters went to their new homes over the weekend. I will miss their oinks, playfulness, and personalities so much. Here’s a pic of me and Snoop Hogg. Snoop has been special and personally, my pick since the beginning. 🥹

The piglets we never signed up for are the ones that have changed my heart forever. Sappy and cheesy, I know— but for weeks I was out there with them night and day. Setting alarms through the night to check on their body temperatures, nursing habits, and more than once their bowel movements. Amongst many, other not so cute things. 🤣

It has been a blessing to watch them all grow into each of their very own personalities. I am proud of myself for raising them with what WAS little knowledge to now is a good bit, thanks to Google and a ton of research.

I am grateful I know all 3 families that are taking in these very special pigs, and that they’ve all invited me to visit anytime I want. 🥹 Snoop resides the next town over from me, and the other 2 are in the next counties over! They may be apart now, but will forever have the same start here on our little homestead. 🤎

Tell me something about yourself that others may not know about you… I’ll go first! 🙈

I absolutely love fall and Halloween. My husband and I love all things spooky and we actually went to Salem, Massachusetts last October and we had the BEST time! Along the way, we learned that we will never drive 9+ hours to anywhere ever again. My husband has now agreed to get on an airplane if the destination is over five hours away. 🤭 he has never flown before!

Anyway, we have been decorated for our favorite upcoming season since the second week of July. Some may say that is way too early, but we all know how fast seasons go— and if something as simple as putting your decor up a few months earlier than others do, makes you happy— then just do what makes you happy! 🧡👻🪾🎃

Scored this cutie at Tractor Supply a few days ago. It was originally $100… I got it for… wait for it— $15!!!! 🤯

I came home and showed my husband my treasure of the day. He looked at me with the “what did you do” eyes. I showed him the receipt and suddenly, he got right to work putting it where I wanted and fastening it down. 😉

Piggybacking off my last post, my sister sent me this picture of the two of us lastnight. Taken in 1999. She was 10, I was 2.5!

Picture this: posters of the Backstreet Boys hanging on my sister’s side and Noah’s ark decor and a cat picture hanging on my side.

We even had electricity and an old black and white tv hooked up in it that only picked up 2 channels. We made so many memories in this playhouse. I’m so grateful to look out my kitchen window and see such a huge piece of my childhood sitting in our property. 🥹

If walls could talk… 🤎 and those poor baby dolls I’m holding. 😅

I keep this page very light and happy but that doesn’t mean life doesn’t remind us that it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. 🫠

Last week, we finished a project- leaving behind a lot of dirt, and mud etc.

On Tuesday- after a break in the rainy weather, my husband and I pressure washed everything and finally, our sidewalk and front porch were spotless of mud, clay, dirt, and debris.

Wednesday morning, we woke up to a new problem. We needed a new well pump and a new pressure tank. So those two things got replaced yesterday. 🫣

Super fun times, and everything needs pressure washed again- but it’s fine! Everything is fine! 😉(insert Ross Gellar GIF)

Despite these not so fun events, we have sooooo much to be grateful for! God is so good and he hears our prayers. Even if you’re walking through some mud right now, God is the pressure washer. He will wash away every bit of the mess, cleanse your heart and make you new again. Trust that. 🫶
