Here's our Wallace Gap team receiving instruction on rotational grazing 🌾

Rotational grazing is:
When we divide our pastures into smaller segments and move "the girls" (cattle) between them, giving each field time to regrow.

We printed large maps with each field traced out and discussed borders and rotation timeframes, so everyone knows the plan. Now that's teamwork!

A Sunday Pot Roast always saves the day! It's easy to toss together early in the morning, fills the house with a delicious smell and minimizes dinner dishes so the home and family can be ready for the week ahead.

Switching to all natural, hormone free beef from Wallace Gap Farm is a bonus. Now Sunday's are easier... and I can have peace knowing the family is eating quality meat.

The Virginia Master Naturalists are working to improve the American Kestrel population!

"The American Kestrel, the nation’s smallest falcon, is in trouble in our region due to a 78% decline in Virginia Piedmont population levels since the 1960s."

Just outside of The Manor House at BDR Farm is 1 out of 520 monitored Kestrel nest boxes. Pictured here are the VMN's collecting data for bird population.
