Well, one week later, and lots of work in the meantime this week, I am finally getting around to posting about MIMBBQ 2017!! We had an epic time and absolute blast at Memphis last week and between Slapjo Mama Championship BBQ Team and The Pig and Pint BBQ Restaurant in Fondren in Jackson, MS, we managed to walk the stage with a 3rd Place in Beef, and had a 4th Place in Seafood, 15th in Vinegar Sauce, 17th in Tomato Sauce, 24th in Hot Wings, and 17th and 27th in Whole Hog!! A huge thank you to The Pig and Pint, Obert Law Group, and Air Filter Sales and Service for your support and Andy Cook, Grant Hutcheson, Scott Riddell, Alice Obert, Baylor Obert, Lindsay Riddell, Georgia Olier, Nick Olier, Jennifer Hume Cook, Max Martin, Casey Mccutcheon, Kim Ann McCutcheon, John Michael Clark , Tony Graham, and Blake Royal for your hard work and dedication to this "worthy" cause. Finally, thank you to all the folks who came to visit us including but not limited to Sara Delphine Flowers-Dent, Ann Lee, Steve-Dawn Patrick, Byron Spencer, Laura Spencer, Cathy Lloyd Mathis, Teri Byrd Ingram, Richard Linnert, Edie Crawford, and Trina Mathis. Can't wait til next year!! We really missed Red Obert , Lesley Dunston Obert, and Dawn Saunders and look forward to having y'all come see us next year!!

Congrats to Slapjo Mama BBQ Team for making Triple Finals in Whole Hog, Shoulder and Rib at Smokin' on The Rez in Ridgeland, MS!! Final Results: 2d Shoulder, 3d Whole Hog and 3d Rib!! Ancillary Contests Results: 2d Anything But and 2d Chicken!! Great job Team!! Third Triple Final of 2015!!
