EARLY SAVE THE DATE – At Emerita Winery in Madison, there’s a large pile of wood & trees just waiting to be a bonfire, so we’re hosting one on Saturday, October 24th. Festivities start at 1pm with the music of Ashley Boyce. She’ll offer a blend of pop & country covers with a few originals sprinkled in. At 5pm, Nick & Lori Acoustic Duo will play music focusing on acoustic versions of your favorite artists.

Bring your lawn chair and appetite. Dynamite Dawgs food truck will be on site offering signature dawgs & sides for purchase. Throw on a warm sweater for the comfortably cool temps & enjoy a fun evening at the vineyard. Look forward to seeing you! Updates to follow during harvest season 🍇

Nothing creates excitement in the vineyard quite like veraison. In viticulture, the science of growing grapes, veraison is the onset of ripening. This is when the fruit transitions from berry growing into berry ripening. Red skinned grapes move from pea-green to deep maroon & white skinned grapes take on a golden yellow hue.

Here’s a recent pic of our grapes just starting veraison. Soon the sugar will form in the berry and create the juicy building blocks for our wine. We expect a bountiful harvest in the fall 🍇🍁🍇

What a spectacular grand opening celebration we had yesterday! For those of you who were keeping your fingers crossed for great weather, feel free to uncross them now. It was a beautiful day filled with special members of our family, old neighbors, winery colleagues & friends from different times in our lives - grade school, high school, college & professional career years. The live music & food truck were awesome all afternoon. Thanks to everyone for joining the party and to those who helped us prepare for this day as well. We are grateful you are on this winery journey with us - slainté 🍷☘️🍷

Just a few more pictures and then no more, we promise, until the next big events. Grapes are harvested in mid-October. Our annual bonfire is planned for Saturday, October 24th with food and live music that evening. More info to follow during the fall season 🍂
