The cans didn't show up in time, so we did what any reasonable brewery would do: fired up the crowler machine.

Tradewater Brewing is pouring at Bloktoberfest this Saturday, October 3, on Downtown 2nd Street. Yes, we're bringing our Oktoberfest. No, you don't have to say it in German.

Matt's been holding down the brewery all week while Ted's on vacation, and the Oktoberfest is ready. 🍻

Catch it first TOMORROW behind The Crowded House for Oktoberfest. It's our Märzen, brewed with Kentucky-grown Vienna and Munich malts, 5.2%.

Then starting next Thursday it's on tap in the taproom, poured in our dimpled tankards. Prost!

🚨 Plans changed, so we're sweetening the deal. We're not setting up at Sweet Feet tonight after all, but the taproom is opening EARLY at 4pm, and we're tapping our brand new hazy IPA, "The Light Before It Shines," a full day ahead of schedule to make up for it.

The Light Before It Shifts is our follow-up to Through The Morning Fog, a 7.2% hazy IPA. A third of the grist is oats, flaked and malted, laid over Pilsner and Chit malt and fermented with Berkeley Yeast London Tropics. Citra, Strata, and Motueka go in at the whirlpool and again across two dry-hop charges, with Strata CGX joining the second. Grapefruit, passionfruit, and lime lead from first sip to last.

This one's draft only, no cans available, so tonight's your first growler-worthy chance to get it home with you. Doors at 4. 🍻

🌾 Two different rooms, one Tradewater crew tonight.

Matt and Tim are behind the jockey box at Hopkins County Happy Feet Sweet Feet fundraiser tonight, while Stephanie gets the taproom ready for a later opening, around 5-ish-pm today.

🎸 Once the doors, it's 90's Alternative Rock SINGO at 6pm: grunge, flannel-core, and a room full of people second-guessing their own memory.

🍺 Find Matt and Tim at Sweet Feet, or settle in with Stephanie tonight for pints and pure 90's nostalgia.
