Continuing our October mini-series of episodes where we get to know the breeders behind herds we all know and love. We get to hear how they got where they are and their individual stories of how they found dairy goats. Throughout the series, Jon and Danielle will talk with them, going beyond pedigrees and show records to discuss how breeding programs are built and how they've found success.

This week we highlight Liz and Jon Etheridge of Coat Creek Farms from Mississippi! Don't miss out on the story of how a ride in a borrowed trailer to pick up 17 unregistered goats turned into a passion project of breeding nationally competitive Nigerian Dwarf Goats!

What an incredible show season we’ve had at Coat Creek Farms! 💜

We attended only FIVE shows this year, but what a season it was! From the early mornings and long days to the excitement of stepping into the show ring, we made some wonderful memories and couldn’t be prouder of what our herd accomplished!

🎀 24 Ribbons in Just 5 Shows! 🎀

🌟 One of our biggest accomplishments this year was finishing TWO of our senior does!

🏆 GCH Coat Creek’s Royally Suspicious

🏆 GCH Coat Creek’s SH My Cleopatra

Both girls earned their permanent championships this year, and we couldn’t be prouder of them!

🐐 Our buck made us proud, too!

⭐ Agape’s Prize Golden Duke earned TWO championship legs this season! We’re so excited about his future and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next!

🌸 Our junior does are off to a wonderful start!

⭐ Coat Creek’s Iris Queen

⭐ Coat Creek’s WBW Selene

Both of these young girls earned their first championship leg this year! We are so proud of them and excited to watch them continue to grow and develop.

❤️ Most importantly, we are thankful for the friendships, encouragement, and wonderful memories made along the way. We are grateful for everyone who has supported us and cheered us on throughout the season.
