FEET CHECK!! 👉🏼🦶🏼🐇

Here I have multiple pictures completely taken randomly in the barn tonight of multiple breeders feet. They are clean, and sore hockless! Hmmmm go figure!! This is why proper wire cages are the best! Rabbit feet are NOT flat so therefore should not be on a FLAT surface. (Solid wood, Tile, Clay, Glass)

Wire allows for their nails to go through allowing proper weight distribution among the foot. Wire also keeps them out of walking in manure and p*e, keeping feet dry and clean. When they are not dry (walking in urine constantly), this is a good way to allow for urine scalding…which then… can lead to sore hocks.
Also, genetics play a huge role. Rabbits feet are furred not bare. If you continue to breed rabbits that show signs of poorly furred feet, you are only opening the door for continued feet issues!

If a rabbit doesn’t have correct feet from the jump, CULL IT!! This is how you stop future health issues on just one area!

Final Update on the Barn. It’s doing well! I’m sad I didn’t do this sooner but you move forward and learn. When that day happened earlier, I instantly started looking for ways to prevent from happening again. I hope this helps other in the future to prevent more issues from happening.

✨Barn Girls✨

One of their favorite places to go is to the barn! Not because they might sneak in a brown pellet snack 😵‍💫 every now and then, but because the mental stimulation is ✨Immaculate✨!!

Dogs can be physically tired but if you aren’t giving them things to do or smell, then they are never fully tired. It’s noted that just 15 minutes of sniffing is equal to an hour of physical play!!
These girls will be exhausted when I finish today!

This is your reminder that when you take your dog on a walk/outside, do NOT rush them! Let them smell everything!! It’ll be better for you in the long run. Learn to be patient and allow them to sniff 👃🏼
