Healthy soil. Healthy plants. Healthy harvest.

Every week, we give our plants a little extra love with a fresh application of compost tea fertilizer as a foliar spray. Compost tea is a natural way to support the plants and encourage healthy growth—working with the soil and the plant, rather than against it.

It’s not a once-in-a-while thing around here. Consistency matters. Week after week, we’re building healthier plants, stronger soil, and better growing conditions.

A little work every week adds up to a whole lot of growth.

Mountain Mist Farm was born from both loss and love.

The last few years have been some of the hardest of my life. After losing my dad, I devoted myself to caring for my mom through the final years of her life. It was a season filled with challenges, precious memories, and the bittersweet reality of knowing our time together was limited.

Throughout those years, my mom often reminded me of something she knew deep in her heart: flowers were where I belonged. She knew how much joy I found in sowing seeds, getting my hands in the dirt, nurturing plants from tiny beginnings, and transforming fresh blooms into beautiful arrangements. Gardening and flower farming were never just hobbies for me—they were where I felt most like myself.

One of my mother's final wishes was to see me return to that passion. She wanted to see me back in my element, surrounded by growing things, creating beauty, and finding peace in the work that had always brought me so much happiness.

Before she passed, I had already begun researching greenhouses and dreaming about what this next chapter might look like. Those conversations, those dreams, and her encouragement stayed with me. Building Mountain Mist Farm has become my way of honoring her memory and carrying her love forward.

Every seed planted, every flower harvested, and every arrangement created is rooted in the lessons she taught me about perseverance, beauty, and finding joy even after heartbreak. Mountain Mist Farm is more than a flower farm—it's a tribute to my parents, a celebration of new beginnings, and a reminder that even after life's hardest seasons, something beautiful can still bloom.

This morning at the farm has been a gift. The sun is shining, the sky is a beautiful blue, and for a brief moment, it almost feels easy to forget the devastation unfolding in every direction you look.

Yesterday, we made the difficult decision to leave the Kettle River Music Festival early as the winds picked up and smoke began to roll in. Not long after, I got word that my youngest was evacuating in Spokane. It's a stark reminder of just how quickly things can change.

These fires are a heartbreaking reminder of the effects of prolonged drought and the importance of tending to the vegetation around our homes, farms, and communities whenever we can. While no single action can prevent every wildfire, being proactive helps reduce risk and better protects the places we love.

To every firefighter, first responder, emergency worker, and volunteer—thank you. And to the neighbors checking in on one another, offering trailers, opening gates, delivering supplies, or simply being there when someone needs a hand.

Thank you. Your kindness and courage make a last impact and a huge difference.

Times like these remind us that we always have a choice. We can give in to fear and division, or we can come together with compassion, generosity, and resilience. Our communities are strongest when we stand beside one another.

Please continue to stay safe, stay aware, and keep everyone affected by these fires in your thoughts.

Life on the farm has been full of blooms and busy bees lately… and I’m not just talking about the ones with wings. 🐝

The gardens are overflowing with beautiful flowers, and this season has been keeping me happily busy harvesting, arranging, and dreaming up what’s next. There is something so special about watching these blooms go from seed to bouquet, and I can’t wait to share them with even more people.

I’m currently looking for buyers in two ways:
💐 Wholesale by the stem for florists and floral designers looking for fresh, unique, locally grown blooms.
🌿 Handcrafted bouquets for shops, events, gifts, or anyone who simply wants to brighten their home with seasonal flowers.

Due to the heat and smoky air, I won't be attending the Republic Friday Market tomorrow (07/24). The health and safety of everyone comes first, and I appreciate your understanding.

If you're still hoping to pick up flowers I am offering mason jar bouquets upon request. These bouquets will be stuffed full of blooms in all different colors. Pint jars for $25 and quart jars for $35 (pictured below is quart size). I can be at Smokin Joes tomorrow evening starting at 6:00 PM with these beautiful flower bouquets —perfect for your home, a gift, or just because! Be sure to leave a comment or message me to order.
