Have you ever had a wheat berry breakfast? Boil the wheat berries for around an hour and top like you would oatmeal. This picture has golden raisins and brown sugar. Wheat berries also make a hearty add-in for soups and stews.

Colder weather means chili season. And, to us, warm, fresh cornbread is its perfect partner. We’ve got a new whole wheat flour cornbread recipe that’s the perfect complement to your winter meal.

Honey-Butter Cornbread

Ingredients
1 cup Sprague Family Farms Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
6 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg
1/4 cup honey

1. Combine your dry ingredients in a bowl.
2 Combine your wet ingredients in a bowl, stirring continuously while mixing.
3. Pour your wet ingredients into a well in your dry ingredients bowl and stir to form a batter.
4. Pour into a greased loaf pan or muffin tin.
5. Bake at 400*, 30 mins for a loaf pan and 20-25 mins for muffins. Check for doneness.
