Big changes are coming to WCF Poultry.
Over the rest of this season, we’re going to be making some of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make since starting this journey. We’ll be stepping away from our waterfowl, pheasants, pigeons, and making major cuts to many of our chicken pens.
This decision didn’t come easy. Every breed, every pen, and every bird here has been part of the story. Late nights in the brooder room. Early mornings before the sun came up. Learning as we went. Failing sometimes. Growing constantly. Building this dream one step at a time.
But sometimes if you want to truly grow something, you have to focus on what you love most.
For us, that’s heritage turkeys.
Going into the 2027 season, around 98% of WCF Poultry will be focused on the heritage turkey program we’ve become known for. We want to put everything we have into preserving these birds, improving our lines, and building something bigger than we ever imagined when this all started.
What a lot of people don’t see is how much this page, and all of you, have helped make this possible. Every like. Every comment. Every follow. Every share. Every message. Every order. Every person telling a friend about us. It all matters. More than you probably realize.
A year ago, this dream looked completely different. Truthfully, there was a point where I didn’t even know if I wanted to push WCF Poultry to this level. But somewhere along the way, things changed.
Even though she didn’t know it at the time, Caetlin played a big role in that. Just having someone beside me during all of this gave me a reason to take the dream more seriously and chase it harder than I ever had before.
Now here we are. Taking a huge leap and putting almost everything into the birds we love most.
To everyone who has supported WCF Poultry in any way—thank you. You are helping grow something that means more to us than words can explain.
If you currently have orders in or have reached out, please just bear with us while we reorganize everything and work through this transition. We’re doing our best to take care of everyone fairly and appreciate your patience more than you know.
This isn’t the end of WCF Poultry.
This is just the beginning of what we believe it can become.
