As we’ve been refining the Homestead on H**b brand, one phrase keeps coming up: The Boujee Farmstand.
But when we say the boujee farmstand, we don’t mean fussy, flashy, or expensive just for the sake of being expensive.
For us, boujee means extra by intention. It's literally the breath in our philosophy.
Extra thought about the ingredients we use. Extra care in how our animals are fed. We go beyond just Organic flour and sugar. Organic A2 dairy, grass-fed when possible. Farm eggs from hens intentionally fed without corn, soy, or canola. Seed-oil-free baking, naturally derived colors, thoughtful packaging, slow fermentation, small batches, and things made by hand.
And yes—sometimes a little extra beauty, too.
Our prices reflect those choices, because doing things this way genuinely costs more. We could make things cheaper by changing our standards. We simply don’t want to change the way we do things, because we are proud of the food and products we use in our own family and the extension of that through the farmstand.
But, even as our branding evolves, Homestead on H**b is still exactly what it has always been at heart: organic, heirloom, artisan—and a little boujee because we care about the details, after all I hade a business named after details before this.
Extra by intention. That’s our kind of boujee.
And, beneath all of that is something even more personal.
You might have noticed the stickers that say "Purchases with a Purpose", behind this farmstand is a family that has endured immense loss and just wants to bring one of our perfect little embryos in waiting home.
So while Homestead on H**b may look like a bakery, coffee stop, farmstand, and mercantile, to us it is also a heart project.
Every thoughtful detail tells a piece of our story, and every person who chooses to shop here becomes part of what we are still hoping for.
The poppies are in memory of our daughter, who was stillborn at term four years ago. The forget-me-nots represent the babies we have lost along the way. And the bee is our symbol of hope for what is still to come—our quiet reminder of “what will be.”
Every loaf of bread, bottle of coffee, bar of soap, and visit to our farmstand supports us as we continue chasing our rainbow. That is why you’ll notice a subtle rainbow thread woven throughout our stand.
So yes, we’re embracing The Boujee Farmstand. But for us, boujee has never been about having more just for the sake of more. It’s about putting more intention into the things that matter.
More care. More meaning. More beauty. More heart.
Because every detail here is part of something bigger than a farmstand.
It’s part of our family.
Part of our story.
Part of our hope.
Extra by intention. Purchases with a purpose. And, God willing, one day—bringing our rainbow home.
