Lonely Goose Foods Homegrown and Homemade foods. The Backstory

When I was young my father managed the local farmer's market. It would also allow us to make a little extra money.

I would go along with him so that we could spend some quality time together. While reminiscing about these fond memories with my wife, Melissa, we decided that running a booth of our own would be a great way to have fun with our children, Samantha, Hannah, Gabriel, Emma and Brayden. As you might imagine, when raising a small hoard of five children, the family budget can always use a little padding

. After visiting the local farmer's markets to see what was currently available, Melissa and I decided to go for it. Our discussion on what to make led us to the idea that we should make jams, jellies, and preserves. When we first started out we only had a few flavors, but they were all unique and not like anything any one else had seen. Next thing you know, we're selling out and barely able to keep up with demand. Over the last year we have grown to over 30 flavors (many of which are seasonal), attend three different local farmers markets, and are shipping jars to friends and family across the country. Some folks have even sent them to their loved ones over seas.
