Air Fryer Blooming Sweet Potatoes, and honestly, they turned into one of the prettiest and most comforting side dishes I’ve made in a long time. After a busy and stressful week, I wanted something cozy and healthy but still fun enough that everyone at the table would get excited about it.
A friend of mine recommended trying “blooming” sweet potatoes in the air fryer because the edges get crispy while the inside stays soft and caramelized. The moment I sliced them open and seasoned them with garlic butter and herbs, I already knew they were going to be good.
As they cooked, the smell of roasted sweet potatoes, butter, cinnamon, and garlic filled the kitchen. My husband kept checking the air fryer basket because the crispy edges looked amazing, and even my kids loved how the potatoes opened up like little flowers while cooking.
The best part was the texture—crispy golden edges outside with warm, soft sweet potato inside. We topped ours with parmesan and fresh herbs, and honestly, they tasted like restaurant-style comfort food while still being wholesome and simple.
Now these Air Fryer Blooming Sweet Potatoes have become one of my favorite easy side dishes for holidays, cozy family dinners, or healthy comfort-food cravings.
