It's been a rough week so the real boss, Princess Astrid Stiorra, has decided I have earned a break for some cuddles. We finished the New Jersey Renaissance Faire, broke everything down and loaded the van. Our drive back to Baltimore that should have been 2 hours took almost 4 hours because of the dorms that came through Sunday night!

Our van has been having issues that got pretty bad over the weekend so we took it to a shop who tried to scam us by clearing the codes and charging us $100 for "diagnostics" they didn't even do. So now we have an appointment to bring it to a good shop on Tuesday.

Since Hilda (the van) is out of commission we are going to have to use the truck and the Jeep for Penn-Mar Irish Festival this weekend. We've grown a lot since the days of fitting our entire setup in the truck, so that has been a massive pain to Tetris in there. That hasn't given us much time for production and new items for this week, so it'll be our usual lineup.

Tomorrow we head up to set things up and hopefully have a great show, because who knows how much these repairs will be. We hope to see everyone there!

⚔️ We had the distinct honor of receiving a visit from Temperance Belowe, New Jersey Renaissance Faire's resident Puritan and professional enemy of fun. ⚔️

For those unfamiliar with her work, Temperance travels the Shire warning good folk about the many things THE ALMIGHTY LOATHES.

Apparently, that list now includes beards. 😔🧔

Fortunately, Viking Jerk remains committed to supporting facial hair everywhere, regardless of Puritan opinion.

We may not have won Temperance's approval, but we did manage to get photographic evidence of her latest proclamation.

🐮✨ A Viking Highland Coo has found a new home! ✨🐮

While wandering the lanes of the New Jersey Renaissance Faire, Priscilla Mead, the Mazer aka the Mead Maker, happened upon a mossy little Viking Highland Coo in need of a loving caretaker. As fate would have it, there was just enough room in her basket for one more traveling companion. 🍃⚔️

We're happy to report that the adoption was a success, and the newest member of Priscilla's household seems quite content riding along in style. The Edwin Pistachio Mead has already enjoyed a stroll through the faire grounds and is rumored to be angling for extra snacks.

May they share many adventures together! 💚
