🐥113 survived (1 hatched with splay legs we couldn't save, 1 was an accidental death)

🥚15 eggs that didn't hatch:
🚫10 were not viable (7.6% of the 130 eggs!)
🐤5 developed between 10 days and full development (3.8% of the 130 eggs!)

💛88% hatch rate
❤️98% survival of the hatched

🥚 If your farm fresh eggs are unwashed, you can safely leave them on your kitchen counter for 2 to 3 weeks! If you rinse them they need to be stored in the fridge and can be stored for 2-3 months!

🥚 stop by our farm stand today for farm fresh eggs from chickens who are outside from morning to night and supplemented with a custom non gmo and soy free feed!

If you've visited or driven by our farm you've likely seen "arm guy". He was named by our youngest and has been given many nicknames from visitors over the years. He is loved by many!

He works hard to keep our chickens safe from predators - usually hawks... recently bald eagles and Osprey! The noise he generates keeps the coyotes in the forest. We are thankful for all he does here at honeyleaf acres !

Unfortunately, he has seen better days and has been out of commission for a few days. We noticed the security of our farm was compromised and today we got to work to repair him!

We are happy to report he is on the job, once again!

❤️ At Honey Leaf Acres we are a family hobby farm - we are always trying new things, improving old ways, and learning something new all while teaching the little ones we were given to raise up.

🌟 Farm life comes with many mountains and many more valleys but we walk them together and always come out on the other side with something gained.

🥚 As we opened out farm stand this week our kids were possibly the most excited members of our family - they have stood outside for hours waving at cars, making signs to encourage those passing by to come shop, and enjoying all the honks as they enthusiastically pump their arm up and down. It is an incredible blessing to share this space with them and watch their childhood fill with such joy!
