Dyer Acres

We are a family run ranch here in Ohio, raising highland & Wagyu beef cattle, market chickens, and egg laying ladies!

Things have been a bit busy around here but I wanted to take a second to admire this cutie patootie! 😍😍

Today was a bittersweet day here at Dyer Acres.

We said goodbye to the very first calf ever born on our farm as he headed off to new pastures. Watching these animals grow is one of the greatest privileges, but it never makes saying goodbye easy. ❤️
..But, in the spirit of balance, we may have also come home with two more cows today, and a calf born this week. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😂

So, technically, we're up two cows.

Farm math makes perfect sense, right? 🐮🌾

We have a ribbon! 🥉🥚

We entered eggs in the fair for the very first time this year, and Dyer Acres brought home 3rd Place!

I'm so proud of our girls (and maybe a little proud of myself for all the time I spent weighing and matching eggs 😂). There's still plenty to learn, and I'd love to know what we can improve for next year, but this feels like a pretty exciting first step.

Here's to our amazing hens and many more fair entries to come! ❤️🐔
