In honor of Read Across America week, I couldn’t help but think about Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. 💚📚

That simple story is such a great reminder about trying new things. Sometimes we’re quick to say “no,” but if we give something a chance, we might discover we actually enjoy it.

Books have a way of opening our minds, sparking curiosity, and encouraging us to be a little more adventurous—just like Sam-I-Am encouraged in the story.

Here’s a little peek at our day at the farm—where the animals were definitely side-eyeing us and quietly asking if we’d lost our minds. (Spoiler alert: we have.) Between the oinking, clucking, and curious stares, it became very clear that we were the entertainment today. But honestly? Being a little crazy is part of the fun, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Farm chaos, animal judgment, and lots of laughs—10/10 day. 🐷🌾😄

🌟 We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! 🎄 We know it’s a busy time of year, but we hope you’re finding some time to relax now and enjoy the season.

We’ve been busy hatching new little ones, and this spring we’ll be able to serve even more of our amazing community. Aren’t these babies just adorable? 🐣💕

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with family, friends, and more blessings than can be counted. This season, our business was truly blessed to share with two tables our turkeys we raised and butchered ourselves.

This experience was a blessing in so many ways—we were able to help feed others, our kids learned meaningful lessons, and there were smiles all around. One turkey was shared with Missouri Valley Cheerleading for their “Friendsgiving,” and the other went to a local family who enjoyed it with their church family at Open Door Baptist Church right here on Watermill Rd.

We’re grateful to hear that both turkeys were among the best these folks had ever eaten. Our hearts are full, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to give back. 🦃✨

As Thanksgiving approaches, we're reminded of the importance of sharing with others. We have 3 turkeys that we'll be processing at home and we'd like to donate one to a family in need. If you could use a turkey for your holiday table, please let us know and we'll arrange for delivery. Please note that we'll be handling the turkey in our home kitchen, but we'll make sure to package it safely for transport. If we receive multiple requests, we'll use a random wheel to select the recipient.
