Sterling(TRB 1463) paid us a visit during our evening stroll through the pasture, we are using Sterling as one of our main sires for this coming spring lambing. We also exposed several ewes to Sterling for fall lambs, they should be hitting the ground in just a few weeks!!

We have another exciting addition to the stud battery. Missouri Dorpers 2436, full blood White Halter son will be our spring 2024 lamb crop sire for our flock of white dorpers. We are excited to see what these genetics will add to our program!

2 year old purebred Katahdin ram available. GRP 21-720 has been our main sire for 2 years and has done an excellent job. He was pulled off a group of ewes last month exposed to him for fall lambing. We spent a long day at a local county fair and exhibited several of our newly acquired rams and ewes. Big thanks to Briar Day and Kirsten Keck for all their help in grabbing some pictures and helping in the ring! Pictured our some of our highlights of the show and their placings.

Excited to come home from the Midwest Stud Ram Sale with some new genetics! Highlights are LY 215 Grand Champion Katahdin Ram, RIV 1009 late fall ram, SRS 575 Grand Champion Katahdin Ewe, and SRS 708 yearling ewe purchased from Salmon Run farms. Along with a super set of ewe lambs purchased from Salmon Run Farms, Prairie Lane Farms, Luzon Farms, and Keifer Katahdins. Pictured are our new upcoming stud rams.

ROD 2328 placed 3rd in the February and later ram lamb class today at the Leroy Boyd Junior show. The judge really liked him for his muscling! Come by our pens and see him for yourself, he sells as lot 352 in the February ram lamb class at the Midwest Stud Ram Sale tomorrow.

The last of our entries for the Midwest Stud Ram Sale. She did not want to have her picture taken today. Short, stout ewe lamb similar in style to her sister that we sold on the Missouri Katahdin Association online sale. I would be keeping this ewe lamb back if I didn’t have another sister of hers I was keeping back. She may not have much of a future in the show ring but put her to work on the farm and she’ll produce some of the best lambs if she’s anything like her dam.

Sired by the first place march ram lamb at the 2021 Midwest Stud Ram Sale. Grandsires are Polish Chrome on the top and Bam Bam on the bottom. Give her a little more time to fill out and she should make a good ewe for the show ring and the farm.

Nice light brown coloring that GRP 21-720 has continued to add to our lamb crop the past couple years. 2321 is still a little green but is sure to fill out into a large framed, long bodied ram.

Spring 2023 lambing has finally come to a wrap with a large set of twin ewe lambs. Maybe a few weeks later than hoped for but a beautiful afternoon to finish it off.

Spring lambing has been in full swing the past few weeks. White Dorpers finished up with a nice set of twin ewe lambs tonight and Katahdins only half way through lambing.

Spring lambing has officially started along with several calves hitting the ground also. The white ewe lamb is one of many to be sired by GRP 21-720 this spring. Also pictured are our new LGDs in with our late December lambs and mother's.
